No. You go down the page and it says Free - Add to Selection but you do need to be registered

That's kind of why I put freeware in the title ;-)

Oh... but on the flip side of the coin some of the stuff on ATS is freeware but hides behind the paywall...

Some of the stuff on ATS is subscription only - I presume that is what you mean by "hides behind the paywall"
One requirement is the ATS OHLE Pack which is Payware but you don't need a subscription for that

Plus you need more Payware - All the routes from Steam and Just Trains

YES... Exactly... I've heard the term "sub-ware"... Is that correct???

I’m tempted, since it’s another piece of the Scottish jigsaw. I do wish that when there’s such a big list of requirements that they’d provide links too...

    Go back to the list
For the routes on Steam you just search for them - same for the AP stock and the JT stuff
All the other items either have a direct link or it says UKTS and you just search on that site

I presume you were not expecting a link to each of the 14 items on Steam?

Is there any reason why someone who releases a route this can't just have a zip file download too of all the freeware requirements as well? Looking at the list again, I wonder if I can be actually bothered!

You would be reliant on the original creator being happy to have their work re-distributed. It's bad form to just share stuff without permission.

Especially given most TS freeware stuff has "do not distribute" written quite thickly in the manual.

It has a much more practical reason too, if say v1.85 of your included asset had a bug or was given an update how would you be able to correct that within all the routes it was bundled with, much better to control a single master copy and have creators link to that one download.

Woohoo! Got them all... Another route. Not sure how this one escaped my attention.

[edit].. Oh bugger.... No I haven't. Suburban Glasgow... I keep forgetting mine's the freeware version. I need to remedy this in the next sale, as it keeps catching me out.

In for a penny, in for a pound, pretty sure I've got everything required - that's my Sunday night sorted.

I'll get it in the next Steam sale. I keep forgetting because I keep thinking I have it, because I have the free ware route. I may uninstall that, so I stop mistakenly thinking I have it.
