This isn't for the contest, but thought I'd share. Just came across this on the ECML (BR's by simonmd) a bit north of Hitchin. There is a good chance it's exactly the same on the standard ECML.
True. Although... I just consider these threads as nice, thematic hubs for some screenshots. The winners are subjective but visiting these a few times throughout the week and pressing like on those I do is a nice little community interaction. Bonus for seeing several great entries. Were it a pure race, this thread would be absolutely void of likes. Heck, being a competition might be causing more salt than joy. But it's a motivator to participate I guess. There is a winners compilation thread over yonder, bookmark that

I'm being hand-on-Bible God-Himself-as-my-witness honest when I say that at a very quick first glance, that could quite possibly be mistaken, for a split second, as an actual photograph. This one is also very well composed.
I have to agree, it's a serious candidate for winning. It's similar to the winner of last week anyway, but I think it diserves it
Some really great Nature and Animal shots well done all. This weeks winner is Buynot with this fantastic forest shot on the Clinchfield. Congratulations! Have a good weekend everyone! Next Weeks Contest : https://forums.dovetailgames.com/threads/ts21-screenshot-contest-week-17-april-2021.39583/
Woohoo! Thanks guys! When I was taking this screenshot, my original intent was for it to be a shot of the train going over the bridge just beyond the tunnel outside of Elkhorn, but once it passed I jumped ahead to the front of the train and caught the lightning and depth of field at just the right moment. It was a split second shot.
Yes, a great shot and it's nice to see it face down the AP and filter enhanced shots that were also entered.
