    Rules:
    - Screenshot should be in some way (can be very tenuous) linked to a theme. Otherwise anything goes.
    - You can enter up to 3 screenshots, posted as separate posts. You can delete and replace if you wish.
    - Entries to be submitted by 9pm Friday (GMT).
    - Previous week's winner to decide winner (can't enter themselves).
    - The winner chooses the new theme for next week (and becomes the new judge).

This week's theme is Under the Wire and will be judged this week by me, NEC Railfan.

Again, I apologize for any delay in the competition I caused.

It's the evening rush hour in Poughkeepsie, and a NYC Hudson is rocketing out of the station with a commuter train in tow, 20 minutes behind schedule. The stack talk was loud enough to split one's ear drums from a mile away. Prior to departure, the engineer told the photographer that he was never late to complete any of his assignments, and that it was most certainly not going to change then. It was rumored that the engineer got the train up to 130 MPH that evening, though nobody has ever been able to confirm it.
Route Used: Hudson Line Extension & River Subdivision: New York - Albany
    Locomotive Used: NYC J3a

Coming in hot! Having encountered a stuck throttle during the final few miles of this train's run into Cheyenne, the engineer finally managed to resolve the issue. Unfortunately he had another challenge ahead: stopping the train without overshooting the station. In a move of desperation, he throws the train into emergency and enters the station at 60 MPH. The wheels locked up almost immediately and were given the flat spotting of a lifetime. Thankfully only a single door on the baggage car overshot the platform. Lucky for the engineer, and the locomotive, Cheyenne is an engine change point, and the backshops are only a few tracks over.

    Locomotive Used: Union Pacific FEF-3

    Thank you.
I must admit it is one of my favourite routes, amazing detail and being fairly local to me makes it a frequent go-to.

An Re 460 electric loco on the Gotthardbahn - Erstfeld to Bellinzona route. Strangely it's pulling a train of Jersey barriers intended for road use. I'm doubtful about the authenticity of this load provided by Rivet, as I would expect them to be transported by road, as that's where they get deployed.

Since I have places to be very soon (it's almost 4pm ET anyways) I will present my final verdict.
In 3rd place we have Craigie-C with this nice view of everything that goes on under the overhead wire.
In 2nd place we have IronBladder with a well-lit photo and a nice shot overall.
But 1st place must be given to Buynot with his shot of an unstreamlined New York Central Hudson, combined with great lighting and FOV effect, and also clever take on the theme (though of course he was not the only one).

But everyone nonetheless submitted a lovely shot, and it definitely was hard picking a winner. Great Job Everyone!

Now I hand the competition to you Buynot (and so I can compete again lol).

I just go into the game settings and turn on the Depth of Field to the highest setting (this can also be done in game by pressing Ctrl+Shift+F4). Once that's done I play around with the camera angle until it's to my liking. After that it's just a matter of waiting for the train to roll by and spamming the screenshot button until the front of the loco is out of shot.
