I'll be using this thread to build out ideas for additions to the scenario we're planning in the bi-weekly streams on Railfan TV. We're running on Northern Transpennine, and I'll update this first post after each stream to set the newly created services and to ask you what you'd like to see next. Existing Services 16:05 Class 47 : Manchester (10) to Leeds (2) 16:10 Class 395 : Leeds (5a) to Manchester (14) Class 375 : Batley (2) to Manchester (9) 16:15 Class 465 : Manchester (13) to Leeds (8b) Class 483 : Park (1) to Manchester (13) Class 66 : Stalybridge (3) to Manchester (14) 16:25 Class 377 : Huddersfield (5) to Leeds (10) Class 47 : Huddersfield (1b) to Manchester (11) Class 31 : Dewsbury (1) to Leeds (10) - this is what broke the journey today Class 101 : Leeds (9a) to Manchester (12) Class 47 : Leeds (8a) to Manchester (14) 16:30 Class 166 : Batley (1) to Leeds (10) Class 08 : Morley (1) to Leeds (12) Class 52 : Morley (2) to Manchester (9) 16:35 Class 43 : Leeds (2) to Manchester (13) 16:40 Class 20 : Leeds (12) to Stalybridge (3) End of the series! If you enjoyed the Scenario Planner series let us know, also let us know if there is another ongoing stream series you'd like to see.
Problem is, if you want an all stations stopper train, it will have to be under 65m for the stations after Huddersfield (Slaithwaite, Marsden etc) as the platforms are short. That rules out pretty much all consists except maybe a 2 car 101.
I’ve noticed you don’t have anything stopping at Huddersfield, one of the major stations. Is this because the platform comes up in the list as being very short despite being long? I made a scenario with a train from Leeds to Manchester, stopping at Huddersfield and got routed via the opposite direction running line, which was very odd, but I still ended up in the right platform. It was a Class 31 pulling the 101, which is great on NTP as it really flies up those hills, so I’d suggest adding that as a service to drive the full length Leeds to Manchester stopper. Really good fun.
there was a stream last Monday - Just wondering if it would be typed out like the 6 at he top from 2 weeks ago?
Just a heads up for you all, the train is only constrained to the length of the STARTING platform, the distance at the bottom should be different (unless starter is shortest) I would recommend adding some services in Terminals that dont move (starts before you( to add some eye candy
I've been watching these back - on the "Part 4" stream on 22 March () Sam selected a Class 40 (43 mins 50s or thereabouts) - but a Class 47 appears. I tried replicating - and get the same behaviour. Is this a bug? Has it been reported?
In the Scenario Planner, when before you put any services on the route click 'Set Scenario details' and tick 'Off the Rails'. You can then run anything in TSW.
Why are there limited starting and ending locations in the planner but not in the scenarios that came with it? I think it’s dumb there aren’t more spawning locations
I honestly can't think of anything. However you could try to make the peninsula corridor or the sand patch grade with only the engines added with the Clinchfield railroad.
We've reached the end of this first Scenario Planner series. If you'd like to see another one, let us know. If not, what would you like to see in its place?
Maybe do one on another route with several stops like Hauptstreke Rhein Rhur - Or perhaps a different series entirely such as a shunting/switching series on routes like SPG and Tees Valley ect.
I would like to see the continuation of the scenario Planner series on HMA. You could set it up to have a lot of parallel running because of the 4 track layout.
It was a good series. My original XBox One couldn't handle it towards the end and kept crashing on me, but it was most Informative, and entertaining.
