I would love to see these short extensions which are Slough to Windsor, Maidenhead to Marlow and Twyford to Henley added to the Great Western Route, Paddington to Reading. How does everyone feel about this?

Many of us have been asking for this for a long time. Do not forget the branches from West Ealing-Greenford, Southall-Brentford Waste Terminal and West Drayton-Thorney/Colnbrook. Perhaps we could also get the little used line from Old Oak Common to Greenford or West Ruislip.
Alternatively we could have the pre 1962 branch lines of...
    Southall-Brentford Dock
    West Drayton-Staines West
    West Drayton-Uxbridge Vine Street
    Slough- Windsor Central (large station)
    Maidenhead-High Wycombe
    Twyford-Henley on Thames (large station)

Very little remains today of any of these and would make great DLC with many hours of exploration between them.
Being that it is never mentioned by DTG, I fear it unlikely that we will ever see them.
Perhaps a third party developer would like to have a crack at them.

Don’t say never, but if it’s not on the roadmap then it’s not happening until it is shown on the roadmap, but all we can do is mention what we would like on this forum.

As per the other thread running, this pretty much falls under the tricky subject of route extensions and whether DTG want to or even can do what would be needed to add the extra mileage.
