Click on STORE at the very top of this page and it takes you to the DTG Store where there is a Sale on until 07 May at 18.00 GMT. Check before buying as there are normally no refunds
Is anyone else having trouble purchasing from the spring sale on dovetail's website? Ive tried to purchase GWR Pannier on 2 seperate browsers and both are showing this error message: An internal error has occured (error code: Error Processing Request). Please retry later.
Normally Steam have a sale around a Bank Holiday and last year they had one at the beginning of May and another the end of May. Seeing their recent sale ended a week ago, we probably won’t see one until the end of next month. But you never know.
Same problem this morning. Tried to buy the Panniers both with paypal and card. No luck. In the last DTG sale I lost the money but it was for only a small amount.
You shouldn't be losing any money... Contact your card issuer & explain whats happened... They may do a chargeback to DTG which I think forcibly takes your money from DTG and returns it to you...
hahaha as you have said it is the truth, who else would make a sale without it working other than DTG? xD
https://store.steampowered.com/sale/goldenweek?snr=1_4_4__118 The about Steam sale doesn’t involve Train Simulator as far as I can see. There may be a sale to coincide with the Bank Holiday at the end of May if not their summer sale will commence on the last Friday in June and run for about two weeks.
Yep, seems DTG have royally mucked this sale up. I tried to buy 4 items in their sale, got through to the card payment screen and then when I clicked submit I got the An internal error has occured (error code: Error Processing Request). Please retry later
Why I only buy on Steam, not on their own site. That and the fact that the prices are more expensive because currency conversion comes into play outside of Steam...
Nick Y. DTG Napster has put a post in Announcements. Store should be up and running again soon. The trouble I have found from the past is that Store never respond to your emails. You have to go to DTG support to get help, which shouldn’t be the case. DTG make great products, their technical support is really superb, their streams are so wonderful, bit it is a real shame that their store support lets them down so badly and undermines the fantastic work the other departments do. Sort it out DTG.
Apparently, this issue with the store has been rectified (noted on the TSW forum and not on the TS21 forum).
Maybe getting more than 2 people a day trying to buy something was pushing the technology to it's limits!
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/National_Train_Day "National Train Day was a holiday started by Amtrak in 2008 as a method to spread information to the general public about the advantages of railway travel and the history of trains in the United States. It was held each year on the Saturday closest to May 10, the anniversary of the pounding of the Golden spike in Promontory, Utah, which marked the completion of the first transcontinental railroad in the U.S. Events were held at major Amtrak stations as well as railroad museums across the country and often have passenger cars and model railroad layouts on display. The largest events took place in Washington, D.C., Philadelphia, Chicago and Los Angeles National Train Day was Cancelled In 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic within Amtrak, although other rail organizations continue to observe the holiday." Wonder why they say "was"? See here. In other words, it is no longer commemorated.
Shame for those, like me, who missed the items in the NTD sale. I was too busy watching Matt’s DTG fabulous stream last night.
Bossman Games are having a ***MID-SPRING SALE*** Get up to 60% off on Bossman Games add-ons available from www.bossmangames.co.uk using codes SPRING40 and SPRING60. This sale features the BR Rebuilt Bulleid Light Pacific, with its first ever discount on our website! Sales ends 23:59 16th May UK time. https://www.bossmangames.co.uk/
Cheers Peter for the heads up on this sale, just nabbed the Bulleid Light Pacific for £11.99 @ 40% off. This makes it the same price as on Steam but with more scenarios, nameplates etc. Cracking piece of kit, just need to learn how to drive it properly, it sure is thirsty.
I am about to get the Merchant Navy myself (I already have the Steam Clan Line but would love more). cscarpenter - I might follow your lead and get the Light Pacific too. I was originally going to get it on Steam for Workshop purposes, but I have the DT version for that.
That Class 50 pack is calling me. Good excuse to take it out on duty. Might need a replacement for a cancelled model on Steam, too, but was warned not to replace via TS-Tools for it. Example: do not put BMG 8F over DTG one that way, replace with the standard Black 5 so you can load in-game, THEN put the train on the track and move stuff normally.
Cyclone... Its worth waiting for an AP sale... I picked it up for about 15 quid (about 25 CA bucks)... It's well worth it I can tell you... Eric
Cyclone... Which scenario pack are you on about??? I just bought the Class 50 1970's scenario pack for about 3 bucks... Played one scenario so far, well worth it & really enjoyed it... Eric
No... This: https://www.bossmangames.co.uk/class-50-1970s-scenario-pack.html The requirements / add on's are a lot less demanding as well...
There are two Class 50 scenario packs, freight and the 1970s one, that are NOT on sale. The Mega Pack can be seen as 60% off on the home page. I did check this before posting it.
I had an email about that too today. A combined route of Wörgl-Saalfelden and Salzburg-Schwarzach St Veit will be delivered soon for the Giselabahn. Also an update and discount is likely soon for the Tauernbahn. RSSLO produce some really interesting routes worth purchasing. Look out for a 40% discount on this pack of 10 vehicles this coming Friday for under £9. Be quick it’s only on until 23.05.2021! https://www.rsslo.com/product/rw-slo-veichle-pack/#1594098363573-bff708b3-24bff9b1-d95e
Get your wallets ready! $26.78 this moment for the Heidi. Is that a good line? I've seen it priced at $52.49 USD at JT before. That said, I'm not a fan that they charge LESS for the CD version. Yeah, pay the shipping and have the hassle of having to not be able to use this circular disc on your computer which does not support it, good idea...
I don't have the Heidi Express and some of the reviews were indifferent It cover a section of the RhB that Thomson/Rivet did not do but the two makes of stock don't couple. And some of the curves are very tight leading to derailments This was when it was released so it might have been improved since then Have a read of Holzrollers post at the bottom of this thread https://forums.uktrainsim.com/viewtopic.php?f=361&t=151696&p=1866213
