Hi, I've just started dabbling with the German routes after watching Matts Tutorial on German signals. However I've noticed that some trains have a selection of buttons related to steps and measurements. I assume they relate to differing platforms on the German railway. My question is how and when do we set the differing settings for boarding? Kind Regards Edward
I guess you are talking about the Talent 2. How: You have 2 buttons on top of the "close door" button. One reads "Hoch 77cm" and the other "Tief 57cm". You need to have selected one or the other before you open the doors. If none of them are selected, the doors will open but none of the "steps" will be deployed. The "Hoch 77cm" button is usually selected by default. Please note: Pressing the buttons when the doors are already open will NOT have any effect until you close them and open them again. When: The default "Hoch 77cm" is correct in all the stations in the Koln - Aachen route AFAIK. You will need to take a look at the platform when you stop if you use the Talent 2 in other routes. If the platform is at the same height as the floor of the Talent 2 door use the default "Hoch 77cm". If it is lower, use the "Tief 57cm" button.
