Red and white, Boston. Hmm... Only options I can think of are CTrail (but it doesn’t run to Boston ) and the MBTA red line, like isaac47593 already said.
I'm a West Coast guy and not knowledgeable about Northeast routes in the slightest, but a quick Google search of "Ashmont" does confirm that it's in the Boston area. Apologies if I'm stating the obvious. EDIT: I didn't realize the pic was not part of the original announcement.
Hey Im from Title Town. The red line is the fastest subway out of all of the lines. I personally hope they do the orange line, I think the route looks better in my opinion. lol
MBTA Red Line. The Red Line in Midtown Manhattan is the IRT West Side Line rolling stock used there is R142 R62 & R62A.
https://react.railsimdev.com/live/t...90.2056500758.1619924395-456355259.1619924395 I’m not sure if it’s real tho, I want to believe it’s real, but the link is... Anyways we’re 3 days away, so scratch what I said *credit to PegasusLeosRailwayFanatix for the link (idk how to tag people)
That's a Gatwick Express 387/2 on the left. Interesting. (An easy build job, since it's just a slight mod of the 375). The thing is, everything on that site is at least 2 years old, around the time MSB was released. Until this pic appears out of nowhere. I'm thinking fake- but where did that 387 come from?
Interesting, 4 trains on BRD? All reused of course, BR 143, MRCE 185.5, DB BR 146.2 (it mentions ICE services so maybe this one gets the white livery? With Dostos?) and, making an appearance for the third time: BR 442 Talent 2? Im hyped for NEC and MBTA tho
The thing is, this sure has the feel of DTG pre-release blurbs. If it's a fake, it's a really skillful fake. I note that two of the three routes are ones people have been yelling for a lot: NEC, and Victoria-Brighton. then there's this: I think we might have a bona fide leak.
Incidentally, assuming this is genuine (or at least that Boston-Providence is included, which appears likely), then we can probably expect the Acela as a DLC loco shortly afterwards. No point in doing the north end of the NEC without taking advantage of the high-speed track.
If, in fact we are getting some Amtrak action along with MBTA, what coaches will we get? Obviously we’re getting amfleets, but what about MBTA? Single or double decker coaches? Both?
I would expect the Kawasaki doubles. There are very few of the old singles left in service, most of them as specialty cars (cafe, bicycle etc)
I'm waiting until May 4th before getting hyped. Still the possibility of these being fake. All three of those route screenshots could've been taken in NEC (TSW2020), ECW and SKA.
I expect this is fake as I’m not sure they’d be lazy enough to give us ANOTHER electrostar route. Its got be the most boring train to drive in the world. Also I doubt they would include 4 locos in 1 route for the German route.
But people have been asking "WHEN'S LONDON BRIGHTON" every a couple of days on the Suggestions forum.
If they were doing London-Brighton I reckon they would do it slam door era as it would bring something new to the table and bring a highly requested route. (Also Matt said he would love to have slam door era London-Brighton in TSW 2 on stream once)
Usually when Matt says he’d love to see something, it’s because we aren’t getting that thing. I’m also suspicious of this leak, the screenshots are all conveniently from what is already available, but then again I do think that it’s entirely plausible we will get a route full of Electrostars, given TSW 2’s DLC history with duplicate units.
Have you ever seen fake things? This is no fake. People’s complaints will be real though, congratulations on being one of the first to use the word ‘lazy’ in a post about a release with three brand new routes and a game update being released at the same time for a bargain price.
Not a single new piece of traction. That is lazy. Plus anything like that could be easily faked by anyone with a bit of dedication.
Hold on... oh yeah, I completely forgot. DTG has to make 442 in 5-car consists for this route! (And put 3-car into this livery as well as they run 5+3)
Yes but then in the screenshot it still has its Regio livery, if you look close enough here you can see the top of where it says ‘Regio’. In any case, the article has its merits and some suspicion about it, but we only have to wait a couple of days now to find out.
How the hell anyone thinks this is fake is beyond me. Do you really think some train nerd would go to all the trouble of faking such a detailed post? For what? This is a train sim we're dealing with here, not a Rockstar game.
I wonder, will the new passenger system include better NPC models? At present they look like escapees from GTA San Andreas.
"As you drive from station-to-station on Rush Hour routes you will see a greater variety in passengers" ...soooo probably YES
I think someone at DTG is probably going to get their legs slapped for either mistakenly posting this early or intentional leaking it.
