There is no Simulation game that has this route so DTG would be the first to make this route

The Cologne-Frankfurt high-speed railway (German: Schnellfahrstrecke Köln–Rhein/Main) is a 180-kilometre-long (110 mi) railway line in Germany, connecting the cities of Cologne and Frankfurt. Its route follows the Bundesautobahn 3 for the greater part, and currently the travel time is about 62 minutes. The line's grades of up to four percent require trains with a high power-to-weight ratio which is currently only met by third-generation Intercity-Express trains. It was constructed between 1995 and 2002 at a total cost of six billion Euro according to Deutsche Bahn.

Quick Facts Overview, Native name ...
    Operational use
The line starts in Cologne at the Abzweig Köln-Steinstrasse in the Cologne borough of Porz. Whilst the connection loop to Cologne-Bonn Airport, the Cologne Airport loop, is technically not a part of the high-speed line, it was built as a part of the general refurbishments in the Cologne area due to the line, and hence is generally regarded as part of the project. The line has four stations, Siegburg/Bonn, Montabaur, Limburg Süd and Frankfurt Airport. The line is equipped for speeds up to 300 km/h (190 mph) between Siegburg and Frankfurt, closely following the A3 autobahn.

    • maximum grade of 1.25% (occasionally 2.0%)
    • curves with small superelevation and minimum radii of 4.8 to 7.0 kilometres (3.0 to 4.3 mi)
    • maximum line speed of 250 to 300 km/h (160 to 190 mph)
These specifications would be difficult to achieve either near the traditional Rhine valley route, which follows an entrenched meander, or along DB's preferred route next to the A3, which has long and steep climbs and descents. The second federal transport plan in 1985 (which was drawn up when the first TGV line had been operating for four years) included a passenger train-only railway, which meant that much steeper grades would be acceptable. The technical standards adopted were:

    • maximum grade : 4.0%
    • minimum radius : 3.35 kilometres (2.08 mi)
    • maximum speed : 300 km/h (190 mph)
    Route
In Cologne ICE trains follow three paths to reach the high-speed line:

The first two routes allow trains to run via Cologne–Bonn airport loop line, rejoining the main route at Cologne-Porz-Wahn.

The high-speed line's dedicated track begins in Cologne-Porz and are located between the Sieg Railway and the line from Gremberg yard and the Cologne south bridge, which, in effect, becomes the Right Rhine line when it separates at Troisdorf. Between Porz and Troisdorf there are six parallel lines and the speed limit on the HSL is 200 km/h (120 mph). At Troisdorf the HSL runs through a 627-metre (686 yd) tunnel under connecting lines that allow passenger trains running on the Sieg line to transfer to the Right Rhine line and freight trains on the freight lines to transfer to the Sieg line (and vice versa for northbound trains).

In Troisdorf the Right Rhine line leaves the high-speed line and runs through Bonn-Beuel towards Koblenz. The HSL follows the Siegstrecke to the rebuilt Siegburg/Bonn station and then heads south to run through the Siegauen Tunnel under the Sieg. At that very point it joins the A3, which it parallels south bound towards Frankfurt Airport. Between the Siegauen Tunnel and the Main Bridge (near Frankfurt) the speed limit is 300 km/h (190 mph) and from there to the airport station trains run at 160 to 220 km/h (99 to 140 mph).

In the Wiesbaden suburb of Breckenheim a double line connects to Wiesbaden, partly next to the A66 and then next to the Ländches Railway. Trains run into the Wiesbaden terminal station and can then reverse out to go to Mainz and Mannheim. The 13.2-kilometre-long (8.2 mi) Wiesbaden branch has a maximum speed of about 160 km/h (99 mph).

Construction on the approach to Cologne
Work is being carried out to create separate tracks for the high-speed line through the heavily used Cologne rail junction from its provisional connection to the conventional line at Köln Steinstraße, where trains are limited to 130 km/h (81 mph) through the points. The line is being extended to Cologne-Mülheim station through Cologne Messe/Deutz railway station (low level). This work was intended to be part of the original high-speed line project, but was dropped to reduce costs. When completed in 2008 this work will reduce the time between Frankfurt and Düsseldorf by 10 minutes.

This route is the most wanted German route, but still we should continue making Posts about the route, even though it's really long, it won't be a problem to make the route and add all the layers because it doesn't have a lot of layers so it won't give the consoles players any problems, but let's talk about the Trains that could be added, so we already have the ICE3 and ICE3M, and we would also have the Br442 and Br146.2+Dostos on the route, and also S Bahn, we all want to have the Br423 as the Cologne S Bahn, so DTG could make the inside like the Br422 and the outside doesn't need as much modeling, and Trains that could get added are the ICE 4 and ICE 3 Velaro D, because these trains also run on the route, so everyone make posts for the Route so that this will be added very soon!

Another high-speed route? We got in the last months 4 high-speed routes, do we need another one right now? This route are on a big part only ICE trains, the rest of it also has some S-Bahn and Regionalexpress trains. We should know a similar experience from SKA and HMA. Which type of route we (nearly, except the MSB part) don't have yet? Some single-track routes, if electrified or not, are missing for German routes. In my opinion, another High-speed and S-Bahn route (with S-Bahn EMUs) would be very boring right now. I prefer a route like this in a future time.

It is not another High Speed route like the others. And it is definitely not comparable to SKA or HMA. These both routes are like teasing a Lamborghini and getting a tractor. Some people are happy about it but the majority expected something else. ICE stands for 300 km/h and thrilling action. Not for 250 km/h and flat and straight tracks like on Aachen-Cologne. The routes currently are just too innocent for the ICE and don't reflect the most important part of the ICE services. As I said: many members of the community got teased for it so they are understandably interested to push this idea. So the voices for these kind of routes won't disappear until its actually done.
Some are calling this boring, the others calling something else boring. That's fine and natural and also ok. However it got officially said that the ICE High speed lines were immensely popular after release so there must be something on it.

And to speak about your point DB628 : This route got suggested at least 6 times before this one. And it probably will most likely continue to happen. Of course I noticed that this suggestion is a very detailed copy from Wikipedia. But this is a forum. So let people write what bothers their heart and what they think is worth to mention. I see why this suggestion could possibly be deleted but not for having something suggested but rather for being a Wikipedia copy.
By the way: it would be great if you could detail your concerns a little bit more in future like providing links or examples which support your points. If you already feel the need to directly contact a Mod to review this thread it would be a kind gesture if you would provide more information about your issue. Because by the look of it right now, it just seems you are personally unhappy with this suggestion and want it to be removed. That's no problem to me and definitely allowed because as I said this is still a forum where everyone can express their thoughts but it is just not the politest way of doing so.
    Kind regards.

What about the Köln-Frankfurt suggestion with more than 100 people that want to have the route? Of course something different would be also great, than just always high speed or S Bahn, maybe we should wait with this route and get some other routes with maybe diesel trains or other routes, for me it would be cool if this route would be once added to the game but I'm more interested in Köln- Wuppertal https://forums.dovetailgames.com/threads/the-missing-link-köln-wuppertal-ice-2-and-national-express-talent-2.35861/#post-254771

This needs to be in-game so that DB BR403 & DB BR406 can be maxed out to their full potential. If SRM is made then the ICE Line 79 Frankfurt to Aachen Segment is playable if SRM & SKA is sold as a bundle. Even better is combining this with my Suggestion Duisburg Oberhausen Arnhem railway as Frankfurt High Speed since in real life ICE Line 79 to Brussels via Aachen & ICE Line 78 to Amsterdam via Oberhausen Duisburg are coupled together towards Koln Hbf from Frankfurt where the combined train is split. If OBB Routes are added the Frankfurt Airport gets a Taurus Locomotive Railjet towards Budapest via HMA.
