The FEX (Flughafen Express = Airport Express) travels from the city center via the northernmost and easternmost point of the Berlin S-Bahn ring to BER airport. The stops are very busy transfer stations in order to pick up as many travelers as possible and quickly connect them to the airport. Stations: Berlin Hauptbahnhof (tief) / Berlin central station (underground) Berlin Gesundbrunnen Berlin Ostkreuz BER Terminal 1-2 Rolling stock: DB BR 147 + High/low entrance Dostos with FEX livery Trip endurance: Approximately 30 minutes
There's an easy way of making that DB BR147 is having Skyhook Games modifying their DB BR187 into a DB BR147 with these High Level Dostos. Own this route together with Haputstrecke Hamburg-Lübeck you should be able to use the entire set on that route since it has the proper High Level Dostos. This route should solve the problem of Hamburg to Lubeck not having the proper double-decker coaches
Having made a suggestion for S9 and S3 myself, in which I touched upon the FEX too, I might have to dissapoint you. S9 and the FEX share dissapoiningly little trackage (they split both at the airport and north of Ostkreuz), so getting both of those in one route (including the dense and varied Berlin scenery) might be asking a little too much. I also think that the 30 min FEX services with only 4 stops would get boring quickly, I'd much rather see the S-bahn lined with some RE and RB lines operated by the Talent 2, as S3, S9, RE7 and RB14 do share a lot of trackage, and would provide more interesting and varied gameplay. I don't want to dissapoint you to much or call your suggestion 'wrong' or 'bad' in any way, as it isn't. But this is just by personal opinion. I can understand why people want it, and there are still reasons for it to come.
Right, I didn't even think about that, the split between the FEX and S9. Then, as a Berlin S-Bahn fan, I'm more in favor of the S9 with the BR 481 and i saw you suggestion
