The British Rail Class 455 is an electric multiple-unit passenger train built by BREL York between 1982 and 1985. They are operated on suburban services in South East England by South Western Railway and Southern These trains will run 31 services along the route, this loco is a true classic train amoungst southern and will really add a classic feel to rush hour
That’s awfully specific for a loco suggestion. Even if it is made, the number of services it runs will be up to DTG.
I hope this can be made in the future. Having suburban services all running with electrostars will seem weird. Would be ideal for stopping services between Purley and London Victoria. Maybe add a feature whereby coupling these units would require plugging in the air and electrical sockets on the front of each unit. Also since this unit already features in TS, DTG should have all the reference material to work from.
Yep - this is an essential..... But I think it would work best coming with a "South London Network" DLC including loops from Victoria to London Bridge, along with a Class 456, and why not slap in a Class 319, and/or some lovely slam-door stock.... ;-)
Depending on what era they make the Brighton mainline in, the 455's could be used on South Croydon/East Croydon stopping services to Victoria and up till 2017/2018 they were also used on Victoria - Caterham/Tattenham Corner services in peak times. Then there's also the services they work from Epsom Downs/Sutton, so depending on whether we get West Croydon on the route when it's released, we could get a good mixture of services should the 455 be added as a loco add-on in the future.
I'm all for the inclusion of 455's on the Victoria - Brighton expansion. Not sure if Southern still run the Victoria - East Croydon stoppers, or whether they removed them or extended them to Caterham/Tattenham Corner. Even then, you could work a 455 as far as Purley. 455's are one of my favoruite EMU's having used them pretty much all my working life, so I do have a bit of a bias
Excellent idea because what Train Sim World 2 needs is another classic train simulator 21 train the Class 455/8 for Brighton main line. Long-term idea is something like this the classics of Brighton Main Line which contains Class 416 415 Mk1 coach Shell BEMU Class 419 Class 455/8 Class 442 & 456 Mk 3 coach shell along with Class 460 Gatwick Express. All of those trains I mentioned are for the sister game Train Sim 21 version of this route.
