Hey there, I just thought of an Ticket Inspector mode and made an Deepfake for it to create an proposal for it.If you have any further questions or additional ideas, you can post them in the comments below Lets show them that we really want this mechanic so they will add it in-game!
Not only is this a fabulous idea, you've set up a visible layout for DTG. It would add quite a bit to the experience to manage the tickets. Also the editing of the video made me think it was real for a second despite me knowing otherwise.
Nice suggestion. You could also combine these with the Guard duty on non-DOO trains, as has also been suggested. Now, tongue firmly in cheek - what about "trolley dolly" mode, selling overpriced sandwiches and fizzy beer off the catering cart!!
Really great idea but for some of the train routes there's actually alcoholic drinks served you don't want that here because it's going to change the USK 0 PEGI 3 ERSB E to USK & PEGI 12 ERSB E10 & up. In some countries like the Netherlands along with the United States Peninsula commute San Francisco San Jose Caltrain you might need to consider They don't use a paper ticket instead it's smart card. Therefore your video must cover both Paper Ticket and Smart Card like the Caltrain Clipper card.
I didn’t think of the PEGI rating as an issue selling beer. Maxpax tea then! Probably why you don’t see beer or wine etc. in the tablet games like Hay Day or Township despite making all sorts of food, drink and manufactured items.
ok then and Thank you for telling me about this. As a matter of fact the rush hour route Boston to Providence can be used to test this feature paper tickets Amtrak Services. On the other hand if you chose the MBTA services for NEC Boston Providence with the F40PH-3C their paper ticket is a Charlie Ticket is used to pay the commuter rail and the subway. Smart cards are used on Brighton Main Line followed by the Dutch Routes being proposed here one of those is Amsterdam Amserfoot CS followed by the cross-border segment Henglo-Bad Bentheim Osnabrück railway.
A good idea for who is tired to always drive of travel. A good scanned ticket can be rewarded with score points.
This is great! Reminds me of the check-in of Fernbus Simulator. DTG should definitely look at this. Maybe add it as an update to Rush Hour or, if that's not possible, add it to an update for next year.
Yes, but I think controlling smart cards (probably by scanning them) isn't as fun as checking tickets the "traditional" way. But in case we can have both, cards and tickets, it would actually be an interestind addition.
I hope this will be added otherwise you would have wasted all the work and time you put into this video
Needs Xbox & PS support as tsw and DTG Pride there selves in offering the same content to all platforms
Great video. I’m not convinced in it personally. I think it will be a bit like pc building simulator. It looks great, you give the task a few hours then never bother. I can’t imagine (this is just me) that I’d be arsed to walk up and down a train with lifeless passengers when I have so many other things I could do. That said, that’s just me and I think you’ve made a lovely video
I agree with this, but to be helpful I would add: The reason it might get boring is because it clearly could not be developed into a meaningful game mode within TSW, because what would DTG and most players of this game prioritise? More time and resources going into the core simulation of driving trains and recreating train routes? Or a guard mode? The latter, to be anything more than a repetitive task would require a high level of development, and more importantly processing power. TSW is far from perfect with the limited functionality it has, I for one would not want to see anything diverted from the core game as it is to provide a relatively fluffy 'guard' mode that was nothing more than a repetitive animation of looking at a ticket and pressing a button. It's very difficult to put everything everyone wants into one title, TSW dedicates its resources and memory usage into simulating physics, accurate train models, dispatching services and signaling models. Think of it logically, what's happening in your video, what core component does the gameplay rest upon? Does it require simulated train physics, signaling, dispatcher? Or could those things just be scripted, whilst the resources and time went into developing realistic passengers and realistic interactions with them? Very quickly the obvious answer is an entirely separate game that allows the game mechanics of a guard/manager role to actually be the core feature. I don't know if there would be a big market for this, but then there are all sorts of simulators that apparently have a big enough market to be made, and your proof of concept is very good, I can actually see it as quite a cool mobile game to play whilst you are on the train.
As with the rest of the controls, they can be changed. E.g the check ticket button could be Y or triangle and accept/decline could be A/B and X/O
