    Route:
This suggestion will cover 3 lines on the S Bahn Rhein Main network - the S3, S4 and S5. This route will go from Darmstadt Hbf via Frankfurt Hbf to Bad Soden, Kronberg and Friedrichsdorf - making this a very busy network. This route covers everything between urban and rural - going through the buzzing city of Frankfurt and its neighbouring districts and also very lush countryside scenery in the south of the route - even including a small one track section outside of Darmstadt. The route also goes through the incredibly busy Frankfurt City Railway tunnel which connects all the S Bahn lines (apart from the S7). Because of this and the fact that this route includes 3 S Bahn lines, there’ll be plenty of AI trains making this route feel very lively. Thanks to the upcoming rush hour update, this route will definitely feel livelier with it’s average route length making this a perfect fit for TSW. The route is set in 1999, right before the rollout of the Br 423, so that this route can be different than other German routes to spice things up. We definitely need an older German route and this is the solution. (Note: The upper level of Frankfurt Hbf will be included for the 112 services, and due to the fact that many services terminated there for a multitude of reasons such as Messe services or ending a shift, or tunnel problems which surprisingly is the norm in Frankfurt)

    Rolling Stock:
Two rolling stock will be included with the route.
Firstly the DB Br 420, the units which took the helm of the S Bahn services in the Rhein Main.
The second rolling stock will be the Br 112 hauling Interregio coaches. I would have chosen the 181, however, for such a small journey reusing a loco which maintains realism works fine.

    Final Notes:
This route should be added in TSW2 because it isnt incredibly long, only 75km which has been exceeded multiple times; works with the new Rush Hour mechanics; is incredibly lively and acts like a network; is set at a unique time period for German routes, and opens up new opportunities for future Frankfurt routes and could be used as an experiment to see how well DTG can make an older German route; and can entice many players who enjoy stressful stoppers, relaxing long(ish) services, those who like urban scenery and those who like lush countrysides and greenery - that’s a lot of variety. I’ll stay optimistic and hope that someone from DTG sees and considers this route. As always, thank you so much for reading! :D

Would love to see more historical routes, definetely with InterRegio services. I actually made a suggestion for a historical route out of Frankfurt in the '90s, that includes the S6 line. That runs from Frankfurt to Marburg, and is set a few years earlier, because I prefer the range and blue BR 420 liveries, which I think provides a nice break. It also includes the 112 with InterRegio coaches and the Frankfurt CityTunnel, in addition to that the 111 is also an included loco.

Ah, our suggestions are similar - but i prefer the traffic red livery on the 420 to be honest. The 111 is a very good loco too but it wouldn’t be as useful on this route - definitely useful on yours though.

Excellent idea and if you own this route the DB BR420 1999 Frankfurt S-Bahn can layer onto HMA as an unrefurbished DB BR420 S3. That should portray 1999-2014 S Bahn München. Also why not make DB BR423 a downloadable content for locomotive for this route because in 1999 S Bahn Frankfurt is trying to replace the older 1970s construction DB BR423s but keep 1980s DB BR420 order to be replaced in mid 2010s.

The 420 included in the route could definitely layer into HMA because the interior would differ from the TSG model and you could make a 1990s-2000s scenario out of that - the 423s would layer in but the problem is that they were scarce in 1999 so you’d be very lucky if you found one at that time.
