Today I'm presenting Anhalter Bahn - Berlin-Wittenberg route suggestion, which is a 115km part of Berlin - Leipzig line. Starting from Berlin Gesundbrunnen, running via Berlin HBF, Südkreutz, Teltow, and Jüterborg and ending at Lutherstadt Wittenberg. This line has a long history, starting from 1840s, and it's very busy with many IC, ICE, regional and freight trains. There's also railyards, and this would give some shunting opportunities as well. The S-Bahn Berlin lines S25 and S26 are also running next to this line, and this route would also add those lines running from Gesundbrunnen to Teltow-Stadt. New rolling stock: DB BR 411 ICE-T I'm again suggesting this. Because it's very common on this line. This would be the main ICE train of this line, running from Berlin towards Leipzig, Nuremberg, Munich etc. DB BR 151 I'm not 100% sure does this loco run on THIS line, but I would still suggest it. This would be the main freight loco of this route. DB BR 481 This S-Bahn icon runs S-Bahn services of this route Between Gesundbrunnen and Teltow-Stadt. Reused stock: DB BR 403 from München-Augsburg DB BR 143 from Nahverkehr Dresden DB BR 112 from Hamburg-Lübeck DB BR 101 loco DLC
One problem: the ICEs via Halle don't stop in Lutherstadt Wittenberg but in Bitterfeld. The ICEs via Leipzig stop indeed at Wittenberg but not at Bitterfeld.
The RE3 operates with modernized Dostos with low entry. There are mostly no Dostos with high entry on this route. This route is named "Anhalter Bahn", not "HaUpTsTrEcKe XYZ"
Excellent idea and if you are wondering this is on the sister game train Sim 21 route made by DTG third party affiliate Aerosoft. Perhaps Dovetail Games should bring back Aerosoft to work on this route for TSW 2 complete with an active TOD 4 for real German route immersion. There's a Train Sim 21 Store and Manual for the route that can be adapted for train simulator world 2. That meant adding B Button to acknowledge LZB PZB Sifa if you are on the Xbox One series X & Series S consoles A interact button. On the other hand Circle Button is used to acknowledge the same PZB Sifa LZB followed by X button to interact if you're on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5.
