Forget this one - its one of those which is easy if you know the area It was Black Carr Jn south of Doncaster on Peterborough - York - Modern https://traksy.uk/live/M+23+DONCBCJ
I was going to say Cogload Junction, near Taunton. However the track layout doesn't look quite right for it. Is the FGW liveried stock a red herring?
Not a red herring and it is Coglaod Jn as it appears on the Bristol - Exeter route from Just trains Your turn
I know this - I live very close by! The Thames Ditton Miniature Railway, in the field at Hampton Court Junction on the PDL in Hinchley Wood. I agree this is a very tricky one, I think I just got very lucky finding it! Edit: Oh dear, I bet that would have been one that took people ages if I hadn’t come along. Out of interest, is that route with the TDMR available for download anywhere? It might be nice to give it a bit of a run. I mean, I say all this but I haven’t yet had confirmation that it is actually right!
Haha! That was quick! Yes it is! I think it is just as well as you got it. It is a freeware route: https://www.wotawallysbits.co.uk/trevor-wood-routes Very, very good! A must have for any Southern steam/early EMU fans.
Must be some kind of record! Will definitely have a look at the route. Lovely little miniature railway that, was going to volunteer there but lockdown put the kybosh on that. Very very lucky I stumbled across the post so early! I won’t be able to post one myself for a few days, would someone else like to fill in in my absence? Will upload one myself when I get the chance.
Sorry about that - I know it’s my go, but my TS has been playing up a bit recently and I have been very busy - when I get the chance I’ll see if I can find a good one in my screenshot folder. (Edit - and for the picture - based on the rebuilt light pacifics and also your earlier SR based contribution - is it Nine Elms Shed?)
Ok... again would someone else like to fill the gap in my absence? Give me a couple of days, I’ll get my contributions in
Queenstown Road? The version from the Brighton Main Line? Maybe? Anyway, since it's my turn and I have been putting this off for weeks now - I thought I'd get a contribution in while I can, even though UP13 has just posted one. Here are a couple to keep people going: Hopefully the distinctive waiting room might give a few clues for the above.
Sorry about that, I have been extremely busy these past couple of weeks and I wanted to get in my contributions because it had been my go for a couple of weeks. I did reference this in my message, and if you want to be pedantic, I technically had just answered the previous one in my post before the photos. I was just really trying to keep the thread going, it has been rather quiet over the past couple of weeks. (And also I had gotten three right already, so I think two is justified)
I think it is good you are changing the set process to suit yourself - Does this now apply to everyone who got more than three right?
Well, the rules say that when you get one right, you are allowed to post one yourself. I admit, going in for a second one probably wasn’t the best idea, but when I put my guess in I didn’t think it was right, it was more of a stab in the dark. The third was just so I could justify posting my own, and then leave this thread to some people who have more to time to post their own pictures. I didn’t change the set process at all, I really don’t think I’ve done anything wrong here and have already apologised for anything I have done, and (without wanting to be rude) you probably should have checked the full story before hurling accusations.
Normally people wait for the OP to confirm where the picture was taken Two of the same location - even a different train would be ok because it is "Where am I" Yes you apologised and then tried to justify it So of the two pictures are we supposed to guess both or just one?
You can guess any you think you might know, I think it might be nice to keep two going at the same time to keep this thread more alive
Let's keep the thread light. How about somebody just gets one of those two pics right and they can do the next one? This thread is just meant to be a it of fun so let's keep it that way.
You're right actually; it's the down platform seen looking towards Gravesend (Chatham & Medway Lines)
