I have a lot of patience and I am forgiving for bugs, but this is real bad. Service 413, from Port Washington to NY Penn, dept 11:36. When arriving in Penn the dispatcher decides it needs another track and then also the right doors must be opened, not the left doors. I am very disappointed by this issue. If I find another one this route gets a negative review, how postive I may think about the effort of the preserved collection team and how enjoyable this route was. I also am not convinced ATC is still working. It always was curious, but it is strange ATC keeps saying 60 mph while the signal/track speed goes down to 15 mph.
ATC is the signal speed. So there are actually sections on the LI where this happenes. Like when leaving Penn station. You have the ATC at 60 leaving the platforms, but have to go 15 until your in the tunnel. ATC works, you just gotta understand it.
The ATC on LIRR is really bad and barely works, but this one actually is "normal" behaviour. The ATC will give you 60mph because the track ahead is clear, but the track limit is still 15mph so you can't accelerate yet. The basic rule is that if the track speed limit and ATC speed limit is different, follow the lowest.
