I was on Amazon and saw that this route you can buy it there but it also says that is only available for US customers so does not mean that I am not even allowed to buy it? Note:Currently, this item is available only to customers located in the United States. Or does the code only works in USA?
You have answered your own question If your billing address in in the USA then you can buy it - if not then no you cannot. Does not get any simpler than that
Don't know - never tried to get round a restriction If your friend buys it for you and it does not work you will be out of pocket

Nick Interesting I purchased MP ages ago before the fiasco and it still works OK on my PC. It may only apply if you try to purchase and activate a "restricted" product in your own country that it was indeed restricted.
Same as content that DTG has withdrawn from sale - if you paid for it you keep it. I have a number of BNSF, BN and Santa Fe locos/routes that are region restricted having purchased them before the restriction was applied and other DLC like the Virgin Pendolino and the Virgin Trains Pack - also withdrawn.
