Hello, finally I had a bit of spare time to create this post. So let's beginn.

West Cornwall is an interesting place with a lot of variety. The scenery is absolutely stunning, beginning with a lovely seaside at Penzance until Marazion. In between you'll find a castle called St. Michaels Mount which you can only visit on low tide. And on the other side there's Long Rock depot. Not very big but fancy indeed. And then you'll enter hilly terain and go over some bridges and in tunnels. And on the St. Ives line there is some bay action going on. NO RUSH on the SCENERY. On this route you encounter a top speed limit of 75 mph along with some very old school signals. On the branch line you are allowed to go 30 mph. The mainline untill Truro is 25 miles long and double tracked and the 4 mile branch line is single track only.

In the 60 70 80s and very early 90s class 50s were the main running loco in this area. After that mainly class 43s and 47s were the typicall picture. On the St. Ives line nearly only multiple units are allowed, beeing mostly 101, 117 and 121 until 1996. After that class 150 overtook operation on that line. Classes 150, 153 are used for local and branch line services and the 158 for express services, all in all those 3 beeing the most common sprinters. Around the 2000s the class 67 has also become quite popular delivering packages and parcels, and going on railtours.
And since 2003 class 57 has been doing the night riviera. Class 220/1 have been visiting Penzance since 2002. And of course the class 08 is doing its shunting duties.
So what do I expect... The minimum requirements are one loco and one MU. Most likely class 43 and 150. I personally am a fan of the class 50 and 158. Sooo, I may hopefully be getting one of those. What do you think what rolling stock should / will be included?

And lastly in Cornwall relatively many railtours are taking place. It would be cool to have that option in TSW. Another cool feature as mentioned in my other post would be a scenario when a class 43 is delayed and you must wait for it, in a 150, then you need to make up time to St. Ives and back so that passengers can catch the next 43 in time, quite challenging.

Cornwall a must have for everyone!

The branch between St Erth and St Ives is absolutely stunning. I've been lucky enough to ride this branch when on holiday down in Cornwall. Sat on the train looking out the window, you would be mistaken to think you were in the Mediterranean given how beautiful the sea looks.

I hope this route is well made, I'm extremely looking forward to it and don't want to be disappointed.

Thanks for the post, very informative. The route IRL is absolutely lovely.

Considering that this TSW route however will be made by Rivet I expect nothing good. But I'm ready to be positively surprised.

Thank you for posting such a great photo. It's a shame I cannot 'double like' a post on here!

    Nice set of photos.
You forgot Hayle on the station list. Everyone seems to forget about Hayle :).

Great set of photos - they're now showing OK.

I would also love a class 50, although they would have to push the time period back to the mid-1980s to get the most out of them.

From DTG's 20 year date period in the route code, 1991-2010, we don't know the specific time period which has been chosen, that's assuming they've narrowed it down. Being realistic, I'm not sure we should expect anything more than a reworked HST (43) and a 150 although that would be fine if they were able to add a DLC loco pack later.

Yes the it's a bit late for the 50s, but nethertheless there's a slight chance they'll get included, hopefully. But basically Class 43 and 150, if they are generous maybe a 08, but that's it I guess. Great idea with the loco pack though. So let us see where rivet is going with this...

    Very interesting post, thank you.

Pedant mode: that is actually a class 122, the class 121 had the former headcode boxe above the middle window and the exhaust pipes were bent around it rather than going straight up.

Intercity Swallow livery would be great, a HST model without the GWR embossed on the side would be perfect for the livery editor.
