Ooh... looks lovely. Can I ask, DTG Jamie whether there will be a release livestream for this product? It seems recently that release streams have been disappearing or being merged into the workshop Wednesday streams, which is a shame because as someone who doesn’t play very much TSW at all, I’m sure other people would agree that we would like release streams for TS products to come back. I realise that DTG focuses on TSW nowadays but some of us still play TS!
There are a few streamers, for example Rob Jansen, covering new stuff regularly. He posts a lot on Youtube and reposts on Steam. ... If you want to see it and not specifically a Release Stream
It is nice to see the product itself and there are other TS youtubers I watch, but I suppose I’m a traditionalist and have always liked the DTG ones.
Finally something really nice that you wanna buy. But still waiting for standalone Conrail route with Conrail locos.
Captivating synonyms: appealing, attractive, beguiling, bewitching, delectable, delightful, enchanting, enthralling, enticing, entrancing, eye-catching, fascinating, fetching, magnetic, prepossessing, resplendent, stunning, winning.
Yes they have! Look here: https://store.steampowered.com/app/...Norfolk_Southern_Heritage_ES44ACs_Loco_AddOn/ https://store.steampowered.com/app/...orfolk_Southern_Heritage_SD70ACes_Loco_AddOn/
The Norfolk Southern heritage unit goes thru Norfolk Southern, not Conrail. Even Norfolk Southern had to ask the CSAO for permission to use the Conrail logos for the unit. Also it was recently confirmed from Travel By Train that Dovetail doesn't hold a Conrail license at the moment.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Conrail Operations under CSX and NS began on June 1, 1999, bringing Conrail's 23-year existence to an end.
So does DTG need to ask both CSX and NS again if they can use the logo? I thought it was solved as they have it here: https://store.steampowered.com/app/...Norfolk_Southern_Heritage_ES44ACs_Loco_AddOn/
I've seen (and saved) some photos (by River Rail Photo) depicting some "Conrail Shared Assets" train - usually CSX or NS powered but operating on a shared section which was deemed too important to be assigned to either of the railroads. Sometimes they manage to use one of the Conrail heritage units for extra fluff. The Heritage packs are nearly 10 years old, judging by the sounds. They look fairly nice. Sometimes a license allows a product to be sold indefinitely, and RSC/DTG happens to be on good terms with NS/CSX apparently. So it's nothing like that railroad.
It must have the first letter be a C for alliteration, Hopefully Conrail would be friendly with negotiations, and we can have some official CR content?
My point was that every US route Dovetail releases gets described as captivating in their publicity. I was using humour to gently chide them for this (disastrously apparently- someone had a go at me in a PM for this post so I hope you don't catch flak for acknowledging it). BTW alliteration is a matter of pronunciation- words beginning with the same phoneme but not necessarily the same letter. Clark Kent is a famous example.
Nono, everything's fine with me, I understand. I don't really like the way they write title the articles or even the scenario, kinda cheesy to be honest. Ahh interesting.
Hi trainbraint, thank you for the feedback, the Chessie System Retro Pack will be in the Workshop Wednesday, but we do have 3 TS streams this week.
DTG Jamie thanks for the reply, am looking forward to it. “Train Simulator TBC” on the schedule seems interesting!
