There is a slight difference between PS4 and PS5 but it's not much.
The gameplay is still the same and there's still the scenery popping in a short distance from the train.
The graphics look slightly better in 4K mode and it seems a bit quicker to load the main menu and game.

The game will be optimised for next gen in the summer so the draw distance should hopefully be better then

Seconded. Smoother (but this might be my bias) gameplay, quicker menu loading but still popping of scenery and similar gameplay experience.

Massive difference in frame rate for me. I played on a basic PS4 and CRR or SPG rarely had more than 15-18 fps. Now I get solid 60 fps on CRR (haven't run SPG yet).

I personally would hope there would be a big difference between a PS4 to PS5 just in the newer technology and CPU power and memory. Otherwise I will stick with my PS4 until it falls to bits. No point upgrading and in some ways more environmentally friendly than keep swapping to a new console.

Much better frame rate and also much less “judder” plus 4K textures. Is it worth buying ps5 only for? Probably not, but who buys a PlayStation for one game??

Yeah I noticed the faster load time and it appears smoother. I cant wait for it to be optimised in the Summer.

On paper the differences seem marginal (4K and locked 60 is great don’t get me wrong) however the difference in reality is quite something.

On PS4 the game felt like it was struggling, where as on PS5 it runs really really well, with the better output and frames.

Hopefully the next gen update will increase draw & render distance, but in the meantime the difference is still night and day.

just got a PS5 and to me it makes the world of difference, a lot smoother and faster, but that's just me, but definitely worth it

The difference is night and day to me. The loading times are way faster, and the gameplay is infinitely smoother. HMA could barely run on PS4 but on PS5 it runs flawlessly. Everything looks sharper and somehow more vivid too, at least to me.

It doesn't fix pop in on some routes though, but I think that's a problem with the game itself.

Hopefully it will be fixed and optimised in the big update with Rush Hour

yes I have tried TSW2020 on both PS4 and 5 and went back to my old PS4 Pro to see and it is very noticeable. PS4 games on PS5 run in back compat mode so you wont be able to tap in to the whole power of the system but the CPU improvements alone will make it run much better. And thats without any real dedicated PS5 patch. I assume TSW2 will be the same.

I've found that on Ps5 I can run SKA no problem, but on Ps4, I'd get a pause in picture or studder, even on Sand Patch Grade. Cant wait for the new upgrades.

Good frame rate with PS5 but awful texture resolution and pop in quite close ahead. Mind you, pop in on PC is better but nothing to write home about. Roll on Rush Hour for next gen!
