Welcome to my first route suggestion, Bahnstrecke Nürnberg - Bamberg. Have fun while reading. The Nuremberg-Bamberg line is a German railway, connecting the Bavarian city of Nuremberg with Bamberg via Fürth, Erlangen, Forchheim. It is part of the northern section of the Ludwig South-North Railway. It runs along the Regnitztal and is one of the important German transport routes. Nuremberg - Bamberg is also part of VDE 8. Route Overview The Route: Takes place in 2021 Length: 62,4 km Max. The BR 1440 could layer onto RRO since the S8 and S5 are operated by the BR 1440, only thing the Train needs is the S-Bahn Rhein-Ruhr Livery
If you wanted the Red DB BR442 to be here it's either Schnellfahrstrecke Köln-Aachen or Riesa-Dresden Dresden layering the DB BR442 from their home routes to this one. This requires the preloading of RE42,20,49 & 14 destinations to the DB BR442 on Riesa-Dresden & Schnellfahrstrecke Köln-Aachen. Excellent idea for a German route in Northern Bavaria. 650 just needs a Reskin from this route into the proper paint into Appenweier-Strasbourg
Thanks for your feedback. I thought about how the DLC could look like: Route Content: BR 442 (comes from the basegame) BR 1440 (as creeperblox2710 has already written, can include timetables for RRO + livery also for other routes) BR 401 / BR 411 / BR412 / (one of the ICEs and additional time tables for other routes) DLC: BR 101 BR 193 (as Cargo and Passenger Loco) BR 294 The freight trains come from the other routes.
There has been a cab ride uploaded in the mean time: I like the scenery of the route, but what I don't like is these sound protection walls for such a big portion of it. I mean it's very good for the people who live at this railway, but driving through these walls hindering you from seeing the scenery is not so nice for the driver. On the other side, it also makes it a pretty unique point of the route. If DTG would ever decide to take this route, I would suggest reducing the amount of protection walls in the virtual replication a bit.
As much as I love talent 2, I'd like to finally see the new br 1462 Desiro Hc in the game. They could bring it along with the route as these trains are in service since December 2023. Also, even though the distance between Nürnberg and Bamberg is pretty big, I'd be happy to see an extention to further north, whether it's towards erfurt with the new schnellfahrstrecke or towards Saalfeld (Saale). Last but not least, if you want to have an Intercity with the route, they could bring the pretty new IC2 Dostos with BR 147 (I think).
