I have TSW2 and now TSW2020 is on sale. If I would buy TSW2020 too can you use the locos and routes in TSW2 also? Or is everything separated?
When you buy TSW2020, you get the TSW2 version of Main-Spessart Bahn, Long Island Railroad, Northern Trans Pennine and Great Western Express for free
Ah that is good news! So how does that work exactly? When I buy TSW2020, I just start TSW2 and the routes appear automatically within TSW2?
I did this around 6 months ago, if I recall correctly, when you go to ‘owned games’ on your Xbox, or under TSW2020 as ‘add ons’ you can choose to download from there. I have not downloaded 2020, but grabbed the add ons and they appeared in TSW2
No, as soon as you have bought TSW2020, look in the store for the respective Preserved Collection version of the 4 routes. They should then be free. Preserved Collection are the ones with the Red Sticker on them.
No, but you can download them using the ingame or Microsoft Store. Don't be confused if the ingame store tells you a price tag of 29.99, it works properly if you enter the final buying process. The xbox store recons the products as owned and offers you a direct installment.
Thanks JonnE and bobbobberdd for your reply. I will try it out.. it makes the TSW2020 offer a good deal because of the extra routes and locos for TSW2
If you have Xbox gamepass you can get £2.50 off some TSW2020 routes , instead of paying full price in TSW2
Hi, I don't know if I should be asking in a separate thread but I'll ask here as my question is related to the sale: I don't have TSW2020 or TSW2. I play TSW2020 on GamePass and eventually want TSW2 and all four routes from TSW2020. 1. If I buy TSW2 right now can I add the 2020 routes from Gamepass? I'm assuming no, I will have to buy 2020 otherwise the DLC will dissapear from TSW2 when I stop paying for Gamepass, correct? 2. TSW2 base game is on sale but the collector's edition is not. Ultimately I would like all the routes from that collection but each is $39.99. So should I buy the collector's edition at full price now rather than the sale price of the base game (60% off) in order to "save" on all the routes? Or do I buy the base game now and just hope that the routes go on sale eventually? Or if I buy the collector's edition in the future will it not charge me for the base game because I already bought it? Thanks for any help!
This is really hard to answer I tried 2020 on game pass and then bought 2, I loved the game and have since spent more money on it, but it may not have clicked with me, so I would say suggest buying the base game to ensure you like it first.
Well I can confirm that it worked! I have TSW2 and just bought TSW2020 yesterday for sale and now I can use 4 routes that came with TSW2020 in TSW2.
