The DB Class 218 (before 1968 the DB Class V 164) are a class of 4-axle, diesel-hydraulic locomotives acquired by the Deutsche Bundesbahn for use on main and secondary lines for both passenger and freight trains. They are still in use to this day on German lines this loco would be great as this is a classic loco from the 1960’s , these trains would be doing passenger services from Hamburg To Lübeck and also services from Hamburg to Ahrensburg and also services to Bargteheide, in over words substituting for the 112
Great loco, better comes as a DLC for other routes like RSN, as not every single route deserves a DLC.
I can't count how often I've seen the DB BR 218 in the Suggestion Forum. And I say like every other time, Yes, Absolutely, the 218 has to become part of TSW. I think the 218, together with the 232, is one of the Most Iconic German Diesel Locomotive.
This is actually a West German Classic diesel engine that needs to be in TSW. East German equivalent to this one is the Ukrainian made DR 130 family post German reunification DB Br232 family.
The 218 would be great. Seeing it on HHL would be fantastic, but on a dedicated diesel route would be even better in my opinion. However, a well executed and thought out 218 add-on (with layers onto many future routes), is garanteed to be bought by me, no matter the route it comes on.
The BR218 looks like a cool locomotive to have. But as I'm totally not interested in the Hamburg-Lübeck route, I'd prefer the BR218 being featured on a route that's actually interesting. :P Not sure I could be convinced to buy Hamburg-Lübeck if the BR218 was made for the route. That's how much I dislike the route :P
