A Union Pacific Local spots a cut of tank cars along a spur track somewhere near Erco, Louisiana, just south of Monroe. Route: Livonia Division: Monroe Subdivision Locomotives: EMD GP40-2, EMD GP38-2
An SP local moves down Quint Street as night falls Route: Peninsula Corridor San Francisco - Gilroy Locomotive: SW1500
A GP9 works the blast furnaces at Geneva Steel Route: Soldier Summit - Helper to Salt Lake Locomotive: GP9
A BR Class 37/4 busies itself as dawn breaks over the turbine hall of the Alcan aluminium smelter at Fort William on the West Highland Line Extension. I have a personal connection with this scene as I worked at Alcan Extrusions in Banbury and we used the smelter ingot produced here.
A Union Pacific Big Boy's safety valves lift as the road foreman shouts some final instructions to the crew before the train departs eastbound along the Wasatch Grade. The train is staged in Ogden's massive ice house, where the Pacific Fruit Express reefer cars were replenished with fresh ice before making the next leg of their journey. These ice houses were vital industries along routes where PFE trains ran, as modern refrigeration technology had not yet been installed on the PFE fleet and instead relied on blocks of ice within the car to keep the produce inside from spoiling.
My last one was a little bit of a stretch for what you may consider "industrial", but here's one I think might hit the spirit a little closer: Feather River Canyon AT&N 2-8-0 Consolidation
A Westbound ---- Z-Train, lead by Norfolk Southern Power heads past the Nestle Purina plant, located in East Flagstaff, along ----'s Seligman Subdivision underneath a partly cloudy afternoon. Route: Arizona Divide Locomotives: GE ES44AC, GE C39-8, GE C40-9W
It's the end of a summer's day at the Alcan aluminium smelter at Fort William on the West Highland Extension. This shows the smelter house and behind the the hillside water pipes for the hydro power needed for smelting. In front a BR Class 37/4 moves some alumina carrying wagons ready for discharge.
Route: Sherman Hill Route Add-On Locomotive: Union Pacific SD70Ace, Union Pacific Heritage SD70ACes Loco Add-On
Well, besides playing with the wording of the rules, this also isn't too realistic. Nice shot for sharing, just unlikely to win. In any event, Cajon Pass is unavailable because it uses the Kuju Santa Fe in a free roam. It doesn't even use any BNSF. Case in point, if you want to have a good two chances at winning, I'd replace this. (Here you go, congratulations. Un-de-re-jinx.)
Industry needs road transport, road transport needs fuel. A DB BR323 "Ludmilla" hauls a rake of fuel tanks past a busy distribution centre. Loco:- DB BR 232 Route:- Mighty Seddin Line.
The transport industry never stops. Loco:- DB BR232 Ludmilla Route:- Mighty Seddin Plane:- Airbus A340 (Reliably Informed, thank you Akabei)
Under cover of night, a BNSF GP38-2 picks up some top secret loads at San Onofre Nuclear Power Plant in southern California. Loco: EMD GP38-2 (BNSF ex-BN) Route: Pacific Surfliner
A pair of Union Pacific GP38-2s pull a local down some street-running trackage in southern San Francisco. Loco: EMD GP38-2 (UP) Route: Peninsula Corridor San Francisco-Gilroy
Chessie System switcher doing a switching job at Bittinger Quarry. Route: CSX Hanover Subdivision Loco: B&O EMD SW9
This is a nice picture but I wish the picture was taken a little further away so you could see more details on the picture
thanks for the answer, but there are very few DLCs from the US variety and some DLC Packs are already unavailable in my country.
Unfortunately the AT&N Consolidation is not allowed in the screenshot comp either as through a variety of mergers AT&N is technically BNSF property, and is US only. Great screenshot with the old girl though!
I'm pretty sure the consolidation is ok to use in contests. The issue was brought up a few months ago and it was taken off the list of excluded content shortly thereafter.
Trademark's have to be maintained by means of active usage The AT&N Consolidation is available globally and is allowed to be used in the competition. The trademark on "AT&N" expired long ago (basically because the original owner of the trademark hasn't used it in a very long time).
I think you may have a problem getting this past the judges, as it's obviously showing the AP weather pack (nice though it is).
A Western Maryland GP35 backs out of a siding for a local lumber mill with a string of loaded cars. The crew will then couple these cars to the rear of their train and continue on to Hagerstown. Route Used: CSX Hanover Subdivision Locomotive Used: EMD GP35
A Seaboard U36B brings a short string of covered hoppers into a siding for a local business in Miami. In the background, meanwhile, an Amtrak passenger train rolls its final miles into Miami. Route Used: Miami - West Palm Beach Locomotive Used: GE U36B
EWS Class 08 this time with ballast for laying at the Grangemouth Refinery on the Edinburgh - Glasgow Route. Scenario - 08 Ready to Rubble
