For me, they were always standing in the game, but maybe it's because they knew that the door would only open for a few seconds. I am touched! They can sit \o/ EDIT Probably my misconception is due to the fact that the player cannot sit.
They’ve been able to actually walk up to and sit in the seats for a long time now. If I recall correctly it was HRR when it was first introduced, back in TSW2020. Prior to that, there were characters sat down on the platforms but they just sat there forever.
Maybe that's why I didn't notice that the bailiff took my car parked in front of my house. So it's something with the eyes...
Oh wow.... since GWE.... ? Really...? You "live and learn" as they say - although my experience matches stujoy - I first noticed it in HRR, and only very recently. Maybe it depends on the platform..... (I am on PS4... um... on Platform 5...).
I’d seen passengers sitting a long time before HRR. That’s just when the passengers started walking up to seats and sitting down and getting up again later. They made a point of showing it in the preview stream because it was new.
I am sure Matt P said that the feature has been in the game for a long time, but the Devs, sort of forgot about it and didn't implement in newer routes, so maybe its something the Preservation Crew are now adding
It’s been a feature since GWE, however the developers ‘forgot’ this feature existed after making that route.
I have been wondering about it recently. Wet platforms are dry and dynamic weather is "broken". Maybe that's why they started sitting on these benches? Because they are water-proof?
Yes, this has been a feature of the game for a long time, but, I think I mentioned once before, that sometimes at least, they don't get up and board the train when it arrives. Maybe they're waiting for a friend, or just watching trains go by.
Does everyone see it? I still have passengers bolting through doors and just being general immersion breakers.
