Two types of train on my model railway (under construction) that we could do with in TS2021
    IMG 1140.JPG
A Class 411 Emu that ran in Kent

IMG 1141.JPG And a Class 71 which also mainly ran in Kent

Great for the Chatham Mainline and the Faversham line.

Those are some very nice models, Peter. The weathering on the class 71 is top-notch. Did you use an airbrush or chalk powders?

Yeah, me too. I really enjoy it. The only thing is the sound is a little loud and I need to turn it down. I can hear the engine's idle sound across my house! :D

'Tis a good problem to have! My SD60 is a little too loud as well, have to close the room off before I run it.

More of a news thing, but Scaletrains.com has purchased the tooling of HO and S scale trains from MTH.

Very nice JP, like the LMS locomotives.

Question for everyone what did everyone think of the 2021 announcements from all the Model Rail companies so far?

Hi Jamie, I think the announcements so far are great! I especially like that ScaleTrains.com bought MTH's tooling, as this will bring steam locomotives to their already impressive diesel line-up (I especially look forward to a possible Pennsylvania K4.)

I also wanted to say thanks for starting this thread, as besides train simulation, model trains are a main hobby for me. I am building a "proto-freelanced" layout that models one of the modern-day US class 1's. God bless, and take care!

I think the Hornby announcements for this year are very lack luster. I am liking the look of the Accurscale stuff though. Be interesting to see what Dapol and Bachmann come out with too

The Bank Holiday is nearly here and that means we will be doing a remote running session at Pete Peddlesden's model railway. Matt may end up streaming it depending on his availability over the weekend and all are welcome to watch on Matt's personal channel.

    https://www.twitch.tv/mattpeddlesden

Likely times are sometime Saturday into the early evening, Same on Sunday and Monday until dinner time in the UK.

One small note however, it is Matt's own channel and it is a holiday weekend. He is NOT there to provide support for Dovetail products or any juicy tidbits / teasers. If you ask you will be politely told to desist by the moderators. You persist and you will be excluded on a temporary or permanent basis.

I used to owrk with a guy called Mike Osbourne and he used to make models like Signal Boxes, Houses and other stuff for model railway.
He used to make them to look like what was actualy on that route too if one was requested, he sometimes brought one in to work and during his break he would be working on it, he was very maticulous.
I think he sold them in a magazine, not sure if he still does it or if so some of you may know of him.
