    Hello everyone and especially TrainSim-Adam
Just want to say that the PIS on East Coastway looks amazing and everyone on the team should be very pleased with themselves.
1 question though, how comes the trains towards Eastbourne to Hastings or Ore, have the PIS saying Eastbourne instead of Hastings or Ore?

I believe it was only routes after SEHS was released that they had the ability to display stations off the map.

I think you misunderstand me, the train says Hastings or Ore and so it should the the Passenger Information Screens display the service as an Eastbourne service and not as a Hastings or Ore service.

Yeah, I fully understand what you mean. The 377 was set up with a list of possible locations to choose from, which means it can display certain stations off the map.

The PIS won't be able to read stations off the map, due to the way the route was set up. The train and PIS aren't part of the same system. The 377 it totally independent of the way the PIS works.

Btw, while we're on the 377's PIS. Is it just me or does it always skip a destination when clicking up/down? IE it'll go straight from entry 3 to entry 5, skipping entry 4.

The way I understood it was that the destination on the PIS was the same one that is in the menu. For example if you choose Brighton to Seaford from the menu then the PIS should say Seaford. In the drop down menu the services are listed as ore and Hastings services via Eastbourne. I could be wrong though. Also I thought Adam said they were the same ones as SEHS and those ones could read destination that were of the map like ramsgate.

Oh, I see what you mean now. They should be able to display the destination on the PIS, but the calling points they can't.

So it should be able to display Ore, but the calling points will only show Eastbourne. I don't know why it only showed Eastbourne as the destination. Perhaps its a bug which we saw in the stream.

Yea that’s what I meant so if I caused any confusion. It’s possibly a bug or could be done by Adam think that the trains terminate at Eastbourne because in the stream, he set his train to not in service when arriving at Eastbourne.

They already could in HMA. The PIS correctly read "Holzkirchen" or "Ulm" etc.

Matt said the PIS system is being upgraded frequently. That is why some features are in some routes and not in others. Guess the A-Team will upgrade each route one by one when the time comes.

    Why?

The PIS on the trains would be set by the setup of the train whereas the setup of the PIS is setup by the route destinations.
Essentially the train has one end point set (which can be anything) and the scenario hasn't yet been updated to reflect stations on sections outside of the route map

Hopefully by the time they get round to releasing the PIS on the route they'll also upgrade the route / scenarios to have those stations off the map so it will show right. I would imagine this will be part of the update just before the 313 is released

I believe the service timetable of the route need to be updated before it can show destinations that are not in the game. Like they've just added Ronkonkoma and Port Washington to LIRR.

While in newer routes, they should have the timetable set up from the beginning. That's why we can have things like Berlin Gesundbrunnen and Dover Priory.

Hamburg Lübeck can only show the Map Names because the IC is Terminated in Hamburg and not show Frankfurt am Main Hbf

Coastway really needs platform PIS too. I just worked the railtour into Eastbourne from Lewes, jumped off whereupon it promptly departed without waiting for me to change ends. I'm now wandering around the station wondering when the next service train is back to Lewes/Brighton or if I should just exit and start a new run from the menu.

The rail tour unfortunately takes the portal at the junction out of eastbourne, so can't be driven back. But yes, being stuck on platform like a real passenger does need the PIS to rescue us from time to time.

Yeah I've jumped back in the cab after ending the tour & the train has departed, the game was not happy when I got to the unrepresented area :D

No it's not been released, but it was shown on the East Coastway challenge (resulting in an instant DQ for Adam)
