Glad to see the branch lines are included. If this route is anywhere close to ECW in terms of quality, it is going to be fantastic. Super hyped. That said, I’m focused on Mass Effect Legendary Edition right now so it probably won’t be an instant buy, but it will definitely reach my collection if not riddled with silly mistakes/bugs. Cannot wait for the stream tomorrow night. Incidentally, I wonder why it’s at 9pm?

Just one thing so far. Please please please ensure any/all depot runs can achieve a gold medal from day one. No more bronze medals for a perfect movement.

    Hmm this one is interesting...
Can anyone say that the Class 313 and Class 314 are very similar, if not almost the exact same with some minor differences?
I ask that because the Class 313 is also coming to East Coastway soon, it's indicated on the roadmap.

Anyways, hopefully DTG will get the traction motors right. Just like with what they did with the Class 365.

I am on the fence with this route, I am looking forward to the stream to see how it looks.
If you'd like to see more details/screenshots, go to Steam located here https://store.steampowered.com/app/...e_Line_Glasgow__Newton__Neilston_Route_AddOn/
    Time will tell.

This looks decent, although I may wait until more than one train can be used on the route. Have spent a lot of time North of the border both chasing 37s in the early to mid 90s and working in the 2006-2014 period so appreciate the detail.

I second this. In almost all routes there are several services where we cannot achieve a gold. Or there will be a super tight timetable that feels like a racing game. Both of these are so bad in terms of gameplay.

    It's very Carmen Coleman
They are basically the same train by the same manufacturer the only differences are interiors and the 313 is third rail (DC) and the 314 is overhead (AC)

This is probably nitpicking too much, but one criticism already is the destination plate on the 314. In the game it looks like a white sticker on the outside of the train, whereas in real life the destination plate is sunken behind glass.

I am going to love this dlc i have seen people saying that the class 385 would be better suited on routes like a semi-fast to Edinburgh me personally would rather see the class 380 as an add on dlc for this route but that is just my opinion

Well, they don’t all show Glasgow Central on them... here’s a train heading to Neilston.

Can anyone explain me what is so special on this route? Only one train, promising little variety in services, not very long. Please advertise it much better if this should be sold outside the UK as well. (Though the pics look nice).

I'm speaking from a Scots perspective, so naturally I would be complaining if things were wrong, but from what I've seen I'd rate this a solid 10/10.

Uh fair point actually. Even though the M3 doesn't feel very special, it enhanced the feeling of the route for me in that you could spot something different occasionly.
But then there is East Coastway, which (apart from the freight trains that you will rarely see) suffers the same as Cathcart variety wise. Still ECW is one of my all time favorite routes and must have second most completed runs after HRR on my end. Didn't bother me that much in hindsight.
Question is - Cathcart or the 313 for ECW? I am not really willing to pay full dlc price twice for a train that similar. One will have to go on the waiting bench. Guess the stream tomorrow will help!

It's the 1st br class train powered by overhead wires in tsw2 so finally the gwr route has something for it's sections of track with overhead wires.assuming the pantograms are up if you senario planner a br 314 onto the route.

It’s the second one. The 395 in SEHS was the first.

The wires in GWE are just for scenery, and aren't powered/functional. However you can use 'off the rails mode' to enable electric trains to work on it.

I'd say this is the first 'proper' 25kv AC British route. SEHS is barely worth a mention as its catenary is the high speed sort and isn't exactly the most detailed or accurate.

I have noted that the 377/4 has a roof racked shaped spot on one of it's cars,so is this a spot for a pantogram? If so i wonder if we might get a overhead powered version of this train.

It is for potential future addition of a pantograph. The 387 which will come with Brighton to London will feature a pantograph.

Since the class 313 and 314 are very similar, I can see DTG reusing the 314 audio in the 313, and theyll give the excuse that "its basically the same train."

Unless AP does the 314 audio, Im sure DTG wont reuse that.

I agree 380s would be a better choice even tho sometimes 385s do run on this line it wouldn't suit the time period which I believe is some where between 2011 or 2012

Fair enough it's a short route, but having multiple branches to pick from rather than a Point A to B and back surely has more long-term play-ability. While LIRR has its flaws, that route with its similar varied point-to-point services was a major draw for me. Plus, other appeals include a new UK train and company to drive - that ScotRail blue looks stunning alone.

I'm pretty sure AP used the same audio in their 313/314/315 packs - they are the same shell and motors after all ;)

They are similar, 313 will have different physics though, as built in DC mode the two motor cars are disconnected and are fully independent*, meaning an 'interesting' ride when one motor car loses power going though a junction.

*This was a requirement for the Northern City Line tunnel the units were built for. I'm not sure if Southern have made it so that the 750V DC bus is now connected when on DC.

I'm glad the 2 branches to Neilston and Newton are included...I know many here were worried they wouldn't be, they can now breathe easier

It looks a decent commuter route...looking forward to seeing it tomorrow

If you think the Class 313 and 314 are so similar, then I’d certainly do some research about “camshaft control” and “thyristor control” and third rail and overhead lines,

Anyway, I’m looking forward to this one, a very unique route in my opinion. 314 model looks superb.

Hopefully included are the additional peak time, “1Nxx* services from Neilston that run semi-fast round the circle.

For those who don’t know there are two routes round the “Cathcart Circle” as well as the Newton/Neilston branches which are the “Inner Circle” on the down line which go via Maxwell Park first (anti-clockwise)and the “Outer Circle” on the Up line which go via Queens Park first (clockwise)

Looking forward to seeing the complex junctions at Glasgow Cen and Cathcart.

Every single DLC that comes out these days, the loco modelling/artist teams are absolutely killing it. The fading/grime layer showing under the reflection at the top of the carriage at 10 seconds in the trailer looks great.

Might have to get this to scratch my 313 itch while I wait for it to come out for ECW.

Didn’t know you were an expert?!

Don’t take one persons word for it.

Do some research, look at videos on YouTube and pictures, the differences are very, very subtle.

The 465 is a loco dlc addon for a route that came for a route that had 2 base trains and which only substituted 375 services whilst this route only comes with one train.

Yeah I know that, was just making an example that if a route did come with one train it would have to be as high-quality as the 465 to make it worth it. I'm hoping the 414 will match the 465 in terms of enjoyment.

I think it would be nice to have a system where the possible destinations of a route are taken from a route specific list (sort of like it is down now), but that the driver can chose the actually displayed destination on the train from this list rather than it being set automatically. Might be something to think about for the future :)

looks decent. will echo its shame about one loco but looks like a route that may get some additions to it in future so might pick this one up.

It may be great for you, there also may be a good chance of disappointment because you are familiar. For me, being Dutch, it is not so relevant you given it 10 points, I would like to know why? What makes this special?

I am still inclined to wait for Rush Hour, where especially the price excites me of Can Creek for the atmosphere.

The thing that makes it special is how good and realistic it looks (minus the lighting)
Screenshot_20210527_194455.jpg like the Interior of the 314 is literally Spot on, for example.
I only have 2 (personal) negatives and they are relatively minor:
    1) Weathering on Catenary: Where is it?
    2) The fact all 314s are Saltire livery, there should be SPT as well.

May be down to DTG having a licence from the Scottish Gov for Scotrail, but not from whatever Strathclyde Passenger Transport are calling themselves at the moment. As SPT lost most of their rail remit a few years back I'm not sure how interested they'd be in going through the licencing process for a defunct livery.

I'm sure Carmine and Cream and 'Red'* and Black will pop up in the editor fairly quickly.

*It was Orange, but because of sectarianism it was called 'Strathclyde Red'

The SPT livery - as of the time this route is set - was already Debranded.

With only 1 train I suspect it can't be all that busy, but they expressed their interest in using AI trains more to add traffic to routes (at least to RH), hopefully they've done something similar for Glasgow Central :)

The only AI train that would fit Glasgow Central would be...
