I find that totally reasonable. Much less silly than trying to do a preorder for absolutely everything, at the very least.
I, too, appreciate the information you've provided, but even with a discount to ~$18.74, I'll be waiting for WSR to land in the 50% off bin along with all previous TSW products. I have nothing against the new thing on the block, but a diesel festival just doesn't strike me as all that interesting.
All content will come to Xbox One other than CSX Heavy Haul. However, it will take time for the PC content to be ported over to Xbox.
James please can you feed us with updates re the Xbox dlc? How are things progressing, is there much more work to do to get the first piece of dlc rolled out?
Hey folks, WSR is live (Huzzah!) - Please don't forget to bring any questions you've got over to the Dev Stream tomorrow, I wish I had more time to answer here on the forum but I know Matt's planning on answering some of the stuff from this thread during the cast Best wishes, Martin
Just quickly, was the update connected to WSR, or is it for the other DLC and if so are there any patch notes? Got WSR downloading as we speak!
No, just on PC for now. I would assume any announcements regarding Xbox would be on the Xbox category of the forums.
The guys are still putting the patch notes together but I believe the update addressed a few stability issues that some people were experiencing. West Somerset Railway is only available on PC right now but we've got some big news coming up for Xbox One players next week Best, Steve
I've asked the Retail Team to add the manual to the Store Page, whilst you're waiting, you can download it from here Best, Steve Update, the manual is now available on the Steam Store Page - link updated above.
It's not quite ready yet but, as I mentioned in the article, we'll be back with another update next month Best, Steve
Roll on payday tomorrow! Will purchase and give it a go, even if its not my era its the UK so ill give it a go! Can people leave constructive feedback on steam? so far so good by the looks of it!
Any update about the freezing issue that a few of us are experiencing? Sadly, it is doing the same with this DLC too... Which is too bad as the few moments I have been able to play before it freezes I really like it.
Hi pdxmark77, I did pass this over to the team yesterday when it was first reported and they are currently investigating - as soon as I get more news, I'll let you know. I'm sure you've already tried restarting the pc, checking drivers are up-to-date and a clean re-install of TSW? Also, try deleting the engine.ini file (in %userprofile%\Documents\My Games\TS2Prototype\Saved\Config\WindowsNoEditor) just be careful to not delete your game profile or you'll lose all your progress whilst you're deleting files - I'd recommend making a backup of this folder just to be on the safe side. Also, I'm assuming you're still not getting any crash dumps or anything like that? Best, Steve
I'll give that a try later tonight, I see a few more people are reporting the same issue in the Steam forums as well... At least you are all aware and looking into it! Edit: but yeah, no crash dumps since it is not really crashing
The length of the “Real” West Somerset line is 22.75 miles - this is a real route, what are they suppose to do? In TS2018 - this is a very popular route with atleast 3 different versions. And this DLC will be a great route for Heritage Steam just as it is on the real West Somerset railroad. I have found he DLC to be well made and showcases a great improvement on the simulation of the diesel/electric power simulation. Nothing to complain about here for being a great modeling of a real heritage railway.
