I would like to see this route in Train Sim World 2. The reason why I would like to see this route is that it goes via loads of nice scenic places like Hastings for The 'Old Town', Battle fo Battle Abbey, Tunbridge Wells for the Spa Valley Railway and Tonbridge for Tonbridge Castle. Also, the line a not too long at 27 miles which is alright. The route will use Class 375's on the Hastings - London Charing X services and the 465's (optional) will run services between Tunbridge Wells to Charing X. The stations include... Tonbridge High Brooms Tunbridge Wells Frant Wadhurst Stonegate Etchingham Robertsbridge Battle Crowhurst West St Leonards St Leonards Warrior Square Hastings Ore The requirements would be: East Coastway (for the Class 377 and Class 66 EWS) Southeastern High Speed (for the Class 375) Class 465 (optional)
it would be good if they could extend it to london charing cross, reason being is i work on the platform at sevenoaks and orpington, so would be strange at first to see my place of work in a video game, and plus i started my platform job at tunbridge wells, so now they have the southeastern license, it could be possible, please could you make it happen.
This route sounds interesting, are there any branch lines on this route? Also do you have any pictures to give us a better idea of what we could see?
Shame about branch lines with pictures it would be great if you could post them in this thread then everyone can see them
there is a branch line that goes from sevenoaks via bat n ball and swanley towards bromley south, then can go towards london victoria and london blackfriars, trains from sevenoaks also use the 700 series trains and run by gtr. sevenoaks to london blackfriars could be another route add on.
This route would be better if set in the 1970s before electrification, as it had unique rolling stock (due to limited clearance in tunnnels along the route caused by a contractor cheaping out during construction and using too few layers of bricks in the lining, so they had to be relined which made the tunnels narrower) the Class 201 Thumpers and 33/2 Slim Jims. Edit: Here is a picture of a 201
Absolutely true the unique Class 201, 202, 203 and 204 narrow body DEMUs were once a mainstay of this route and would make awesome DLC's.
Excellent idea and if you have the 1970s trains 201 202 203 & 204 those can layer onto Northern Transpennine Standege Tunnel and Great Western Main Line London Paddington to reading diesel Legends. If Present Day only class 171 can layer onto Cathcart Circle route
Except that these DEMUs were not seen on transpennine of GWE routes. They were a Southern Region design. But you can use them anywhere in Off the rails mode on the Scenario Designer.
I’d love to see this in TSW 2 with some lovely southern slammers. Does anyone know what slammers were used in the NSE era?
