The Wanne-Eickel – Hamburg railway is the shortest railway connection between the Ruhr area and the Hamburg metropolitan area and one of the most important railway lines in north-west Germany and runs through the cities of Münster, Osnabrück and Bremen.

    Route
Wanne-Eickel Hauptbahnhof is located on the southern slope of the Emscher lowlands in Herne. After leaving the station, the line turns northwards over the Rhine-Herne Canal and Emscher in a straight line towards Recklinghausen. The Haard is now evaded westwards and before Haltern the Lippe Valley is reached and crosses the river of the same name as the Wesel-Datteln Canal. From the city of Haltern, where the lake of the same name is passed on its west side, the Haltern Mühlbach follows the Haltern Mühlbach a little further in a straight line to the northwest and finally reaches Münster (Westf) Hbf via Dülmen, the Stevergau near Appelhülsen. In today's urban area, the railway line faces north at the freight station, but not for too long: Already at the northern head of the main station, it goes straight to the northwest again almost to Kattenvenne, whereby on the way through the Westphalian lowland bay Dortmund-Ems Canal, Werse, Ems and Münstersche Aa are bridged. In an easy direction Osnabrück over the Düte. Immediately in front of the tower station, the hare is bridged in the middle of the city.

    Rolling stock on the route:
    ICE-IC services

The railway line is the backbone of long-distance passenger rail traffic between the Ruhr area and Hamburg with at least one intercity train pair per hour. Most of these trains only run from Münster to Hamburg on the historical route (timetable routes 120 Hamburg – Bremen and 385 Bremen – Münster).
    upload_2021-6-6_22-9-23.png
Between Dortmund and Münster, however, they first use the Dortmund – Lünen railway line and then the single-track connection Lünen – Münster. Additional long-distance trains therefore usually take a detour via the Dortmund – Hamm and Hamm – Münster railway lines. ICE Sprinter and the Flixtrain as the successor to the HKX (as well as the former Metropolitan) are / were routed past Bremen via the freight route directly to Hamburg in order to save time.

But the southern section of the Wanne-Eickel – Münster route (route book 425) is also regularly used by long-distance passenger rail services, especially through the two-hour IC line 35 from Norddeich Mole via Münster, Recklinghausen, Wanne-Eickel, Duisburg, Cologne to Koblenz. There are also individual ICE connections (a pair of trains between Münster and Stuttgart) as well as the ICE 919 to Cologne and the ICE 512 journey from Munich that ends in Münster.

    Regional:
In the metropolitan areas of Rhine-Ruhr, Bremen and Hamburg, there are also lines of local rail passenger transport on this route: Line S 2 of the Rhine-Ruhr S-Bahn runs on a short stretch between Recklinghausen Süd and Recklinghausen Hauptbahnhof, and the Rhein-Haard is also used -Express (RE 2 from Düsseldorf Hbf) or the Niers-Haard-Express (RE 42 from Mönchengladbach Hbf) to Münster. The Rhein-Haard-Express was extended to Osnabrück in December 2019, omitting various stations (only Haltern and Dülmen are served between Recklinghausen and Münster); the RE 42 runs every half hour between Essen and Münster, so that the offer here includes three journeys per hour every day. At Recklinghausen main station, the S 9 line of the Rhine-Ruhr S-Bahn meets over a connecting track of the "Hertener Bahn" - a section of the Oberhausen-Osterfeld-Hamm line on the Wanne-Eickel-Hamburg line.

The RB 66 “Teuto-Bahn” of the Eurobahn also runs every hour between Münster and Osnabrück. In a Europe-wide tender, the eurobahn was able to secure the operation of the RB 66 line in the Teutoburg Forest network for 15 years. When the timetable changed in December 2017, the company took over operations from Westfalenbahn and also uses Stadler FLIRT multiple units. The local transport plan of the responsible association provides for this line to be set up every half hour from Monday to Friday due to demand.

From Osnabrück the RE 9 in the direction of Bremen (-Bremerhaven) is on offer every hour.

From Twistringen the local traffic will be increased by trains of the Bremen Regio-S-Bahn RS 2. The metronom runs twice an hour from Bremen to Hamburg.

    Freight
The route is of great importance in freight traffic between the Ruhr area and the North Sea ports. It shows a high density of trains here.

    High-speed
The highest speed that Trains can reach on the route is 200 km/h

    Length
The length of the route is about 287 km long but it can be shorted, if DTG get finished with the other layers for HMA on consoles than the route can be in 3 parts that have a length of about 90km, but otherwise this route is too long so I would just say that this could only be a Bremen Münster Route and that would be enough, otherwise in the future if it is worth it, than this route could be created

I hope you will be interested in the route!

Rollbahn combined with Hamburg-Lübeck can be sold as a bundle called Ruhr Valley to the Baltic Sea for the same price as Rush Hour. Furthermore there can be freight trains going to the Netherlands from Lübeck due to Rollbahn being connected to Henglo-Bad Bentheim Osnabrück railway. Rolling Stock for those should be a DB BR189/193

Well actually this line is 355km long, so we would need to have 4-5 separate addons for this line to happen.

Oh I didn't see that, so the length would be a Problem, but it would be worth for ICE 1 trains and IC trains to reach 200 km/h

I'd be more than pleased if it was "just" Münster-Bremen like in TS.

I honestly don't expect them to do that. That would be waaaay too much content for this price. They'll make themselves go bankrupt :D

Well if this route is too long, than let's just say that they do Bremen-Münster, but DTG goal is it once to add every route to the game that is in Germany, UK and America, but it will take some time, because they aren't as big as Microsoft

I don't think this is their goal. At least I've never heard them say exactly this.

Yeah, I think he's referring to sam's somewhat joking comment:

"Yeah, we'd like to do every route.....
    .... some day"

But that's of course just them expressing that there isn't any route they explicitely don't want to do.
