Can anyone tell me where the switch is inaide the cab to turn the lights on for the different trians. Ive only found a switch that controls outside lights and its pitch black inside my cab. Thanks!
On a class 166 it's on the side panel where the door open switch is for the left, for the HST it's near the door on the left. I'm not very sure about NEC and RT.
Have a look around the cab of each new train you get in daylight and locate all the switches before doing any night services. Saves a lot of time when you do start a night service. The light switches are usually easier to locate than the wiper switches. Train manufacturers like to hide them in all kinds of unlikely places.
Maybe, but hopefully it will highlight the need for actual working manuals to the dev team, and given their new approach of "making everything of similar quality" this should also include supporting items outside of the driving experience, so crystal clear, verified and workable documentation should form part of that
Dang it. I haven’t got time to check the date of the threads will all the thousands of posts there are at the moment. If I’d seen it was an oldie I wouldn’t have replied, even if the common sense advice I gave is golden
Anyone know where the cab light switch is on the Class 08 blu shunter? I’ll be darned if I can find it.
go in the cab, look on the FRONT wall (the one with the smaller windows and the big black control unit on the lower half of the wall). On the left hand side of this, towards the ceiling is a red square panel with four switches, it's the top right of these
I'm not usually in favor of resurrecting old threads, but this might be an exception. Sometimes you can't find a cab control or switch no matter how hard you look, especially when sitting in the E seat. Very frustrating and I've had to ask here myself more than once. Maybe we should start an ongoing thread as in: "Where the heck is the switch for ( fill in lights, safety etc.)? I'm darned if I can find the confounded thing!! " Someone will always know the answer. PS: hope my language is mild enough for those super-sensitive Mods!!
I know this may break immersion but if you really can’t find it plug in a USB keyboard and hit “L”. That’ll turn on the cab light and maybe make it easier to find the switch.
That’s passenger lights, not cab light I think. I wonder if the OP is ever going to come back and see all this advice. It’s over three years since he/she asked for help.
I know, that’s why I didn’t reply to your post with my observation but waited for a more general answer to the OP’s question, which happened, just as when I answered the OP’s question last year thinking it was a fresh question.
Thread, I command you to... As after lots of Google Fu failures and user manual searching, this thread was the one I finally found out how to turn on the cab lights on my newly acquired TSC (via the Humble bundle), as for some reason you can't "push" a button that also has rotary controls (cab light switch in class 350) as I couldn't see a damn thing in the New Street scenario, so thanks much fl991r (it was the L key)
It's weird to read this OP. I was thinking "welcome to the club newbie, things will improve so be patient" and then realise this person was already playing this game before I even heard of this game". Looks like things won't improve
