Gcc Signaling Question

    I am fairly certain that those indicate the platform number that the signaler is sending you to.

    That threate box is probably showing a platform number that the train is heading to.

    It is indeed the platform. The signals just before Brighton in ECW also show the platform numbers.

    Indeed! Theatre/Route indicators which show which line or platform your heading onto/into.

    When you leave the station, it shows the track and signal you are sent towards (same as on GWE). When approaching Glasgow, the last one tells you the platform number, the ones before also show waypoints.
