    The ACS-64 locomotive is not available as its own standalone loco, but only in two routes, NEC: New York - New Haven and DC - Baltimore. There is a also a complete overhaul mod available on The Audio Shack, but for now it seems to be temporarily unavailable, so the Fanrailer mods will suit your purposes well. Speaking about mods, since the NYNH package is much older, that locomotive has the most mods and 3rd party content attached to it compared to the WB package. All in all it depends which route you'd prefer.

    Of the two routes, I'd recommend getting NYNH, as not only is it cheaper on sales, but has more auxiliary content attached to it, and get the Acela and P42s standalone DLCs, because they also have a huge value under the surface.

    Washington to Baltimore is pretty new, so it won't go too much one a sale, New York New Haven is usually around 60-70% off on a good steam sale.

    I echo what NEC Railfan says, New York - New Haven's the better option for getting the ACS-64. It's longer, there's way more mods and scenarios ffor that route and its addons than Washington - Baltimore, and goes for way cheaper. To be more specific the route itself goes for about $10, usually less, but can be just over that during the worst sales. Even adding in the P42 (which personally I wouldn't grab if you're mainly interested in the NEC, they don't have significant ops in that area) & Acela it most likely won't be over $20, which is well under the $30 dollar price point of Washington - Baltimore when it's on sale.

    What routes do you intend to run the loco on?
    It comes with the New York to New Haven route but there are not many other routes to run it on.

    Well if you choose NYNH there's a merged route on the workshop, meaning you can run from Newark Liberty Airport to New Haven in one go.

    wow. thanks guys for all the info. Now with more info I get more questions.. I got the gist of Routes/Locos and once I have those then I can go with a scenario (like a goal to achieve);
    What are mods?
    Also In the NEC route - it says Keystone ; It means it covers the track from NYC to Harrisburg?

    Big question - Ts20xx vs TSW2020; for a small kid what is better. My kid loves trains. but it seems in TSW one can go outside the trains and walk around?

    749006 - those are awesome shots

    All your guys are awesome and any info is appreciated

    No - you just drive the Keystone service from New York to Trenton - the track at Zoo Jn goes around the corner towards Harrisburg and stops

    From the Scenario

    I'd say TSW is a better option for a child as it has better graphics and, as you said, you can walk around and have a bit of an explore as well as hunt for collectibles on the various routes.
    As a default, all safety systems are turned off in TSW games so better for a child to have a play with without any annoying sounds going off and having to react quickly.

    CowBoyWolf - For me to be able to use the NEC project link you sent above - I need to have ACS-64 engine (comes with NY NH route or DC-Baltimore route) and NEC route also .. correct?

    When you click on the link to the ACS-64 it goes to the New York - New Haven route
    If might not work with the other version
