Shhh, no need to shout. The horn is the same because that’s the horn sound they had available. They answered that in the stream.

On Cane Creek? I’d say that’s a no.

 

The OG SD-40 isn't found anywhere in the UP roster (or any other Class 1); they have all been upgraded or retired.

 

Amtrak doesn't run anywhere near the Cane Creek line

 

Amtrak California Zephyr runs on the northern “mainline section” (UP Green River sub in real life I believe) of the route but doesn’t run on cane creek branch in real life. From a gameplay perspective it makes sense not to include it since only a small portion of it’s route is actually modeled

 

Back in the day, Skyhook did some work on the scenery of Soldier Summit on TS1 for DTG, which is located about 75 miles North West of Crescent Junction, did anything from that time or route help with the creation of this route?

 

Simulate a train drive on a monotrack, straight on, at 25mph for 2 hours (with 2 apparently icorrectly recreated locos that are not even new in the game)

The thing most people is more worried about is that there is not enough to do in the route, so I suggest in the next stream you show us the different things that can be done:

• Switching
• Loading
• Unloading

Of course you don't need to do full services. Just a few minutes with each will be enough.

 

I would still like to see the AC4400CW dynamic brakes in action or at least a comment on whether we should expect any change from the SPG version where dynamic brakes are concerned.

 

None. The only traffic is dirt and potash trains so there's no need for classifying.

 

Just remembered you might want to show the route at night.
The potash facility looks really nice in the screenshots.

 

Why are we still using the default horn sound for AC4400CW instead of a different sound? UP doesn’t use the same horn as CSX.

That should be correct. JD said that they‘d try to bring the Skyhook guy back for the release stream, not for this next preview stream, however.

Maybe you can do a service in sunset or in the night (if there are available services at that time). And maybe some yard switching.

 

I would love to see some shunting. I find the long slow freight runs unexciting but some decent shunting scenarios would make it for me.

 

Will any of the freight car variations from this route substute onto Sandpatch or Oakville?

 

Man, I sure hope so. Now I'm not quite sure if these locomotives would be accurate to this route, but I'd really love to see an SD70ACe or an ES44AC DLC down the road at some point.

That's not a question, that's a rant.

 

You don’t need to accept it. It’s all about choice. What is unacceptable in capitals to one person might be perfectly acceptable in calm lower case letters to someone else. Some people might actually enjoy it, heaven forbid their views should be so different to your own. If you want to calmly write a route suggestion for Chicago to Philadelphia or Something, including some helpful punctuation but not including any unhelpful swearing, then the forum has a place for that.
