I don't know if it is just me or if it is only on pc but even tho i haven't wishlisted or pre-ordered it i have the mastery challenges visible for me. it only has 1 tier with the challenges being: Clinchfield Cruiser (complete 2 scenarios or TimeTables) and I'm a Coal Man (Load 60 wagons of coal) and it will result in you getting a what seems like bear with a tent. and the route is just being called Clinchfield and has an image of the i forgot how it is called loco but it has 1 big front light. when i saw it i imediatly checked my routes but there is nothing new there. i have just 2 questions: why is this visible? am i the only one?
I can also see it and just like you don't have the route. It was the same in TSW2020 when Mastery launched. I could see the LIRR stuff despite not having it. It's supposed to be that way, no worries.
I can confirm that I have got this and I have photo evidence to prove it: Strange that DTG hasn't mentioned that mastery is coming with Clinchfield, but hopefully we will hear more at release tomorrow. Also curious to see what that bear tent thing looks like.
I reckon that DTG have decided to add Mastery for their new routes. This is a new thing, because this is the first one since TSW2's default routes to have it. I am also getting a Sand Patch Community Challenge, although there's nothing new or unusual about that.
Go to dovetail live (next to store) at the bottom of the screen , click on it , the click on ‘mastery challenges’
So I guess we might get anything from a peaceful camping site in the woods to the most brutal overlay of people torn apart by grizzlies. The latter might be my personal favourite
I’m on PS4 and can see the new Mastery Challenges as well! By the way, did we hear anything about last month’s Community Challenge? I think it was something like “drive 1 Million miles and get animated backgrounds”?
CRR isn't going to be unleashed by Steam until 1 PM EDT. Edited by DTG Natster - Removed inappropriate language, please reacquaint yourself with the forum rules before posting again.
At least you don't have to figure out what to do with your time all morning! I had expected it to launch at midnight PDT (3 AM here) and waiting for me when I got up today.
Been looking through the console threads, seems there may be a bit of an issue with braking - too harsh and easy to go into emergency. The tutorial is a bit on the shallow side. Also (as expected) much time is spent plodding around at low speed in light power. Well the braking might not be so much of an issue on PC with finer KBM control, guess we'll find out in just over half an hour.
Amen to that! having spent a bit of time in the TS version I know what's coming and putting the TSW finesse on top of that I hope we are in for a treat.
Assuming Mods/DTG team read this, can we have a Clinchfield Railroad Mastery Challenge Tier 2? I'm not sure what to suggest for a 'Configurable Overlay' though. Someone mentioned bears. Maybe a 'park' where bears can be seen (possibly moving?)
I found the campsite! The bear seems to be just chillin'. But I'm not surprised the people didn't stick around!
I think that this and the upcoming Dinosaur Park are good uses of the mastery overlay system. The original Christmas markets were terribly uninspired and I know some people would complain if more unique/important scenery elements were "locked" behind an arcadey progression system. These little scenery placements strike a good balance in my opinion. Cheers
You're in luck! Me, the mastery, he gives me points, and then he resets himself to zero. Suddenly, I unsubscribed. It's a hoax.
