I wonder if we’ll see any more UK Diesels anytime in the future. It all seems to be heading for EMU’s these days. I appreciate the Diesel Legends pack recently but there seems to be a lot of re hashing going on.

Keep asking for more diesels, the more we ask the more likely it will be done. I'm sure we'll get more diesels at some point :)

I’m amazed that they haven’t released a Deltic yet.
One of the most iconic looking and sounding BR generation engines.
Darlington to York could also extend the Tees Valley experience….

We need some UK electric loco's & the associated route to drive them on, WCML & a 90, 86/87, 92 would be nice!

Just thinking, the West Cornwall route isn't electrified so we will get some diesels with that (at least one new one) :) (not anything heavy probably just a passenger unit :)

I doubt anything especially heavy is to be found on the Penzance-Truro line.

    Your probably correct :)

You're right, I should have made that more clear. I've edited my earlier post to reflect this :)

    NTP modern-day pack

Mk5 Coach on the other end you have a Class 68 seen on Sister Game Train Sim 21

If TSW 2 were to get ECML pre-1976-1990 electrification program then a Class 55 Deltic will fit. Can also run Railtours on East Coastway Cathcart Circle West Somerset Railway as diesel gala. Possibly Southeast Highspeed Chatham Main Line section

I think we ought to keep nagging DTG about the Deltic until they give in

The lack of a Deltic is an absolute mystery. You'd have thought with their popularity and the number of requests for it on here, a Deltic DLC would be a pretty sweet earner for Dovetail.

Maybe because after Northern Trans-Pennine, Tees Valley and West Somerset (plus a lot of old-timey loco DLCs), a very large number of British or UK-oriented players were clamoring for DTG to stop doing vintage British stuff and do modern routes instead.

I still think there’s scope for a bit more of old UK diesels. The US and Germany have had a good share so far I reckon.

Actually, there is (sadly) no vintage German content in TSW at all, nor any diesels except two shunters.

Sorry I just meant general content from those countries although I appreciate the vintage US freight stuff.

There is definitely nothing heavy on the Cornish Mainline in the 90's-2000's

They might release one if they release a suitable section of route for it, there isn't really a route to run one on yet. Although, they did appear on the Newcastle to Liverpool service sometimes towards the end of their lives so it wouldn't be impossible for them to be seen on the NTP route, although they had gone by the time the route is set in 1983.

Newcastle to York would be a logical route, although probably a bit long for a TSW route at present.

I would love to see more UK diesels and electrics from the loco hauled era, the 50 and 55 come to mind, the Woodhead electrics would be fun. Except for the Class 101, which is fun to drive, I find the dmu/emu continuum rather "vanilla". Bring back the old days.

For realism for older British routes more varieties of DMU's would be useful. If DTG just provided the class 47 with every route there would be much moaning, well it should be the same with the class 101.

Anyway this is slightly off topic I guess.

I agree with the vanilla dmu/emu thing. I’d love to see a class 50. It would be nice to see liveries other than BR blue also.

You're right of course. The Class 101 has become far too ubiquitous. But I never tire of driving it.

I love driving it, first generation DMU's are my favourite traction and they have captured it very well. However, they are not the be all and end all of first generation DMU's.

Full support! big fan of the “by gone era” br freight. The class 58 is a pretty interesting locomotive
