Train Sim World®: Danish Routes We've had a lot of different routes for Train Simulator, and the release of various routes for Train Sim World is going fast, so I thought I would share my suggestion/proposal for a new route for Train Sim World. We're a lot of train simulator fans from Denmark, some of us is registered on www.railworks.dk, which is a danish fansite/community where we discuss and share mods for train simulator and even for other games too. As mentioned, we've had a lot of different routes, but one type of route we've never had, yet (hopefully), is a danish route. A few developers in the community of Railworks.dk have even developed the whole danish railway network as well as a beta version of the DSB IC3 train for Train Simulator since Dovetail Games havent yet released a route for the danish train sim fans. The route and the train itself is not professionally made, so therefore there's some bugs on the route and the train itself, so it's not perfect, but what we would like to see is a danish route and train for Train Sim World, as that game is looking quite realistic and amazing. General information: The rail transport system in Denmark consist of 2,633 km of railway lines. Most traffic is passenger trains, although there's considerable transit goods traffic between Sweden and Germany. Engineering and operation of most Danish railway lines is done by Banedanmark, a state-owned company that allocates tracks for train operators. The majority of passenger trains are operated by DSB, with Arriva operating on some lines in Jylland (Jutland). Freight transport is mainly performed by DB Schenker Rail, although other operators, such as Hectorrail, take care of a significant portion of the non-transit traffic. Railway lines in Denmark: We have a lot of railway lines, even though we're a small country. The main one is the line from Copenhagen (our capital) to Fredericia, which connects the three main danish 'islands', Jylland (EN: Jutland), Fyn (EN: Fun) and Sjælland (EN: Zealand). Jylland is not an island though, as it connects with Germany and the rest of Europe. You can read more about our railway lines in Denmark here. Trains in Denmark: So, we've some rather interesting looking trains in Denmark. Two of them, which is quite well-known from other countries, is our IC3 and IR4 trains, nicknamed 'The Rubber Nose' from other countries because of it's bizarre look at the front. IC3 & IR4: These two train types is the most common train sets there is being operated in Denmark. These are the two trains that's nicknamed 'Rubber Nose' as they have rubber diapragms on the front of the trains that connects them together. The IC3 train was the first model produced by ABB Scandia (now Bombardier), where the IR4 afterwards got produced as an electrical version of the train set as the IC3 is driven by diesel. The IC3 model has three carts, as its name says, with 140-177 seats and a maximum speed of 160-180 km/h. There was produced 153 sets, 96 operated by DSB. The rest have been exported to Sweden and Israel. The IR4 model has, guess what, four carts, with 233 seats and a maximum speed of 180 km/h. 44 copies of this model have been made and is in use of DSB. These two trains and their systems works with up to 5 coupled sets. It can be either five complete IC3 sets, five complete IR4 or mixed up amounts of the IC3 and IR4, as long as it doesnt exceed 5 sets. Read more about the IC3 train set here. IC4: The IC4 train set is the newest set added to the fleet, built by AnsaldoBreda in Italia and is another diesel driven train set we're operating. The train consist of four carts with 204 seats in each set. Up to three train sets can be coupled together with a total of 612 seats. The trains have been built between 2003-2013, but should already have been put in use from 2003-2006 where they should have replaced the IC3 and IR4 trains, but because of defective brakes and delivery difficulties didn't it goes as planned. In 2007, finally, were four train sets in monitored trial operation. Out of 82 ordered train sets are only about 40 in operation. Read more about the IC4 train set here. Interior: https://imgur.com/a/yakZJ. MR/MRD: The MR is another old diesel driven train set we're using on a few lines in Denmark produced by Uerdingen & Scandia (now Bombardier). In the period from 2003-2010 were they also used by Arriva on their lines. One set consists of two different carts, MR and MRD. One of the wagons contains the diesel motor. One set has the capacity for 131 passengers. 98 MR-MRD train sets were produced for DSB. The maximum speed is 130 km/h. Read more about the MR/MRD here. Desiro: The Desiro is existing as diesel driven and electrical powered. In Denmark, only the diesel driven train set can be found, mainly on the Odense-Svendborg line. ICE-TD: DSB had leased 13 ICE-TD train sets from DB (Deutsche Bahn), which were used on the line between Copenhagen-Berlin via Hamburg since December 9th, 2007. Last departure with the ICE-TD from Copenhagen was September 30, 2017. The reason they arent operating anymore is because they were about to undergo a major renovation which neither DSB or DB wanted to pay for. Read more about the ICE-TD here. ME & EA: The DSB ME locomotive is DSB's fourth generation of diesel-electrical locomotives. DSB got 37 produced by BBC (Brown, Boveri & Cie), Thyssen Henschel and Scandia (now Bombardier). Today, 33 is in use. The DSB EA locomotive is the electrical version of the ME model, which got produced when electrification of the danish railway network were happening. 22 EA locomotives got built by BBC (Brown, Boveri & Cie), Siemens, Thyssen Henschel, EB Strømmen and Scandia (now Bombardier). Today, 5 of them is trying to get back in use to support the amount of railway traffic there's needed in Denmark since we havent got all the IC4 in use yet. DD (Doubledecker): The fourth generation of the Bombardier Double-deck Coach is the ones we're using in Denmark. They're matching the ones they have in Germany, which is featured in Train Sim World already (so only the locomotive had to be developed, in order to complete a train set like this). These are either pulled or pushed by our ME or EA locomotives. Read more about the doubledeckers here. S-Train: Our S-Train inside and around the area of Copenhagen is the train used to connect some of our cities like Hillerød, Klampenborg, Frederikssund, Farum, Høje-Taastrup and Køge with our capital, Copenhagen. Our S-Train is just like the German S-Bahn. The S-Track (or S-Line, or whatever you wanna call it, in danish: S-Bane) has 7 lines, A, B, Bx, C, E, F and H. A, B, C and F is operating throughout the whole week, E and H only monday-friday and Bx in the rush hours on the B-line. The traffic is happening with our 104 Litra SA train sets (8 carts) and 31 Litra SE train sets (4 carts). Read more about the S-Trains here. Øresundstog: Our so-called 'Øresundstog' or litra ET, is an electric train set produced by Bombardier. In 2012, 111 models were produced. 75 operated by Skånetrafikken in Sweden, 34 operated by DSB in Denmark, and 2 operated by SJ in Sweden as well. It's called 'Øresundstoget' as it operates from Helsingør in northern Zealand in Denmark over the Øresund bridge to Malmø in Sweden. The train set handles danish traction as well as swedish traction, as well as it has both danish and swedish ATC-system. Each train set consists of three carts with 237 seats and with an maximum speed of 180 km/h. Read more about the Øresundstog here. My suggestion: If a danish route project gets started, then I would suggest to make a route from Østerport (two stations north from Copenhagen Central Station) to Odense, the third biggest danish city. On this route between those two cities, the IC3 and/or the IR4 is operated. Taking one of these InterCity trains from Østerport to Odense, the journey will take you one hour and 30 (irl) minutes through the beautiful country of Denmark, from the busy capital to the country part of Denmark, over The Great Belt bridge and back into the busy city Odense. If that would be too long of a journey, you could even use a InterCityLyn (express) instead, with less stops and therefore quicker than the InterCity-departures. The IC3 and/or IR4 would be the primary train set on the route that has to be used to get all the way to Odense. A single - sometimes double - IR4 train set operates between Østerport and Slagelse every 30 minutes, so with these two types of trains you could already have two types of services, an InterCity service from Østerport to Odense, a regional service from Østerport to Slagelse. ME locomotives pulling/pushing doubledecker wagons is operating from Østerport to Kalundborg (disconnecting from the Copenhagen-Odense line at Roskilde) and to Nykøbing F. and Næstved (disconnecting from the Copenhagen-Odense line at Ringsted), so if this locomotive and wagons got developed into the route, they could either be made player-controlled so that you could operate them from Østerport to Roskilde or Ringsted and then they could continue as AI only to Kalundborg, Nykøbing F. or Næstved, or they could be AI only, which reduce the time the developer has to spend on making the locomotive + wagons. S-Trains is operating from Høje Taastrup to Farum, so they could be player-controlled from Høje Taastrup to Østerport vice versa, and then they could continue as AI only from Østerport to Farum. Danish Television (DR) made a series of episodes called "På Skinner" (On tracks), which were simply one of their camera setups in the cab filming the ride, which could be used for development of the route. But I've just found out, when I was about to link it, that the episodes on their website have expired, so I contacted them incase they have some MP4-files or other videofiles hidden in their database somewhere that I could get, 'cause there's one specific episode produced where it was onboard the InterCity train from Copenhagen to Aarhus in Jutland that could be used for the development of the route to see how the danish landscape looks like. They still have the videos in their database, but in order to get your hands on them, you would have to pay a small fee. That will be an excellent route and players need to know what train safety systems are used in Denmark? Because we have PTC which combined with the Alerter North America United Kingdom DSD AWD TPWS United Kingdom France high-speed one KVB VACMA & TVM-430 ZSI Switzerland and Germany Austria PZB LZB Sifa.
Exactly and to make it easy for themselves do International routes like ringsted Rødby where at the Rødby end once you stop at the ferry the screen will see do you like to continue onto Lübeck yes or no? If yes is chosen your DSB Train will boot up Puttgarden Lübeck Railway then Hamburg-Lübeck. Remember to stream on Hamburg Lubeck they were talking about the bird flight line Hamburg-Lübeck Puttgarden Rødby Ringsted Copenhagen railway corridor. The other route that they can do is Hamburg-Flensburg-Odense via Padborg Border Station because Germany uses 15kv 16.7hz vs Denmark 25kv 50hz. My preference is for introducing new countries is an international route something that the game hasn't done. There are two on my signature France to Germany and Germany to Netherlands.
Don’t bump threads. In the main post, the OP says that the other thread was locked because people were bumping it (against the forum rules). If you do it here, this one will be locked too and then nobody will be able to support it. I suggest you read the forum rules, it’ll save you getting into trouble.
Loco Add-On would also be desirable for this route. The NoHAB AA16 would be a nice locomotive that could also be run on German routes, as you can still find them there today.
Send an idea and I'm wondering if an international route can work one of them is Copenhagen Rødby Puttgarden Lübeck with Puttgarden Rødby Tunnel if finished. That one will require you to use D pad up to ask dispatcher request to change voltage 15kv 16.7hz Germany 25kv 50hz Denmark. Same thing with Padborg station ask the dispatcher to change voltage. One of the possible scenarios you can make out of this is the voltage change not working properly. You must use a diesel locomotive to pull the train out of the wrong voltage. Exception Copenhagen Malmö it's on an Island.

As for the original post, I'd really like to see routes in the Nordic/Scandinavian Countries, and Denmark would be a good choice, considering its proximity to Germany, and the potential to merge the two systems, somehow...
