Does anyone know how to change the brake mode in the class 08 from vacuum back to air, Each time I change the switch vacuum pipe goes down to 0 but the vacuum chamber stays at 21

You need to look for the vacuum exhaust valve, open & equalise the pressure close! The 1st time I messed with the vac/air switch on the 37 I got my brakes stuck on :D

It's on the front wall of the cab on right side, low down behind the driver's seat. Stand up, then crouch down (C on PC) and probe around wall until you find it.

In this case, Iamy, there is a users' manual: the BR Class 08 is included in the BR Heavy Freight manual. Unfortunately, it is limited to a "Quick Start Guide", which does not mention changing the brake mode, and a "Checking Fuel Levels & Refuelling [British spelling]" section. I'm trying to remember how I learned about changing the 08's brake systems: I don't think that it's covered in any tutorial, but perhaps it is mentioned in a scenario or session. Another possibility is that it has been discussed in these forums, but given the worthlessness of the so-called search function, finding it would be pretty much impossible.
