The same Blue DB BR363 can work on Schnellfahrstrecke Köln-Aachen provided DTG makes Tracks 6-9 Aachen Hbf voltage change tracks 3kv DC SNCB to Deutsche Bahn 15kv 16.7hz both 1.95m Pantograph systems. In the case of Riesa Dresden shunting DB BR101s for 15kv 16.7hz 25kv 50hz 3kv DC former Czechoslovakia locomotives onwards to Prague (Prag) and Wien eventually Graz.
DB BR363 Blue on Schnellfahrstrecke Köln-Aachen

Unfortunately, that won't be part of Riesa-Dresden, Czech stock would make no sense. But expansion from Dresden to Děčím would be cool, with S-Bahn continuing to Pirna (S2) and Schöna (S1) coupled with IC trains headed by older ČD 371 or currently ČD 193 Vectron.
But that would of course mean a) figuring out how to layer route extensions and b) getting a license from ČD.

Just out of curiosity, what is Brecksville?

I actually made a suggestion for Dresden - Děčín, it could be a really interesting route, definetely when merged with Riesa - Dresden, as it offers totally different (and really pretty) scenery and gameplay.

    Red/Blue:

No "freight/passenger" distinction; it's an era distinction. 1954-mid-70s all DB shunters were dark red.* Mid-1970s all DB locos were (supposed to be) repainted in the new corporate ocean blue/beige livery. This lasted about a decade, then all DB locos were repainted in Orient Red, becoming Traffic Red after unification. This 363 will be a vintage loco- the first vintage German content in TSW.

*(Old DB scheme: diesels and shunters red, regular electrics green, express electrics blue. Steam black with red trim).

That's a typo and I fixed it. Supposed to be Wien and Graz.

You mean the West German Deutsche Bundesbahn which made DB BR 363. East German Deutsche Reichsbahn made DB BR112, 143, 204 & 155. The East German designations for them are DR BR212 243 V100 & 250. The exception being DB BR180 which is DR BR230 made in former Czechoslovakia. If a Vintage Riesa-Dresden pack were to be made you get a reskinned 112 143 204 & 155 into East German Paint with DR BR230 post 1994 DB BR180

When we talk about the sense of immersion do we realize that between the old TSW1 skybox and the new TSW2 (of course, with the mod) there is an abyss in the way? I will attach some photos to make you understand it better.

Old TSW1 Skybox (under TSW2 engine)
    skyxxx1.png
    again, on RSN
    skyxxx2.png

This below is the new TSW2 skybox, beautifully modified by londonmidland. Do you notice any differences?

    sky10.png
    sky9.png
    sky1.png

I think it would be in a collective interest to push for it to be added (updated) also on the old routes of the Preserved Collection. This has not happened to date. It is mentioned in the numerous Roadmaps.

It would breathe new life into the game and also encourage the purchase of old (TSW1) routes.

I agree, but 363 in this vintage livery now would only be used in passenger car yards, not industrial areas. Back when the livery was created yes, it could have been used anywhere.

It doesn’t matter because the sky and Heaven looks terrible in TSW 2 compared to other Games

Do any still exist in old Ozeanblau, other than a couple in museums? I thought that by now they were all in Verkehrsrot, when not in private owners' liveries.

I'm pretty sure in the yard behind Aachen Hbf there is exactly this loco. At least it could be observed there every now and then.

Incidentally, in blue it wouldn't be a 363, but a 260/261 - it wasn't reclassed and renumbered as a Kleinlok until 1987, the same year Orientrot was adopted as the new DB color.

It belongs to a heritage railway. (Its real registration number is 3361 671-1 D-AVOLL)

As a side note not sure if this is the right place to ask this question (shout at me if it isn't) but here goes could you get rid of the message that asks "Do you want to keep driving this service" when you are looking for goodies if you answer yes then this message shouldn't keep appearing every few minutes if that is not possible could we have an option do you want to see this message again, thanks

If your taking that long to run around the station looking for collectibles you need to find & locate the Sprint button.

And the 'Do you want to see this again' idea is slightly flawed. If I'm running (actually, scratch that. Walking, because It doesn't take that long) around the station, when they pops on up I just instantly go to dismiss it.

I actually tried to do some research on this earlier today since I was also curious. I looked through some German online rail photo sharing sites. As far as I can tell, no ozeanblau-beige units exist anymore in DB ownership. It would be somewhat strange if some still existed seeing how long ago ozeanblau-beige was in use though not completely unheard of.

It seems that any ozeanblau-beige V60s you‘ll find today are privately owned ones. I wonder if DTG will pay attention to that.

The amount of private operators operating old DB/DR stock that have painted them in older colours is amazing, I truly love how it brings more variety on the tracks. I don't think it would be an issue to have an Oceanblue/Beige V60 with DB logo (instead of that of a private company), especially as a few still use the DB logo, or have adapted it to fit their letters. The choice for the DB logo is probably done because of licensing.

It will also be the first loco with a Deutsche Bundesbahn logo, instead of the Deutsche Bahn AG logo if that is right, which makes me a little happy as it is one small step closer to my dream of historic German routes (although my favourite era, the early to mid '90s also see the newer DB AG logo, with the older logo slowly being replaced).

The one in Aachen actually has the old DB-Keks - it just says something like Owner: [private rail company name] on the lower frame. I‘m wondering whether markings like that will be on the in-game one. Or maybe we‘ll get a DTGX owned one for licensing reasons :)

Absolutely agree. It‘s very nice to see all of these bygone liveries in all their glory again :D

Not with londonmidland 's dynamic clouds mod it doesn't....it looks spectacular. I can't wait for the rest of the preserved routes to have their skyboxes updated so they can also make use of it.

Even without the LondonMidland mod the TSW2 skybox looks so much better than the original TSW one, particularly at night and in clear skies. Not amazing but it does the job.

Which makes me raise the question of why dtg have not made improvements to lighting and weather and will there be improvements in those areas? Why do modders have to improve something that dtg can do themselves? You have a lighting team so how about use it to address complaints that have been raised

That's an issue that has been raised many times with no response it seems

Totally agree. Matt did say in the roadmap stream a few weeks ago though when asked by Nat if there would be any changes to weather, rather than saying a flat out "no" he said "lets wait until we get to weather". Makes me hopeful that something is being improved that they haven't talked about yet.

Also the way the when the night draws in it gets darker and then lighter again is ridiculous and you end up with buildings almost glowing.

Yes, that's exactly how it'll work.

Assuming you already own an Xbox One, you'll obviously need to reinstall the game and any owned DLC to the Series X when you get it. Provided you log in to the same Xbox account, it'll keep your game progress as it synchs from the cloud. You'll then have a Series X running the current Xbox One version, when the update drops the base game and every DLC you own will update to the Xbox Series X version automatically.

No, this is what the new TSW 2 skybox does. It gives you slightly better clouds.

If you're on PC, you can download my Skybox mod, which makes the clouds look much better than the default for TSW 2 routes. Download here
