Three routes in discount now and more discounts are coming in the next weeks; https://live.dovetailgames.com/live/train-sim-world/articles/article/xbox-add-on-sales-now-on
Correction I can’t see anything as I already have these routes!! Let’s hope for something that I don’t have next week.
I picked up all three, even though currently I won’t have time to play them. Will save them till Rush Hour.
Great! Bought CRR, still waiting to see the HMA layers before buying it. Between CRR, CC and GCC I definitely have a lot to do before RH
CRR is a really cool and unique experience - a nice opposite to the high speed routes I think I will risk buying HMA this evening as it would be only 12,99 for me. I would guess the layers might turn up at least on Series X sometimes, maybe together with the Rush Hour update... and then, when it's playable (for my personal consideration), it would be good to go for a bargain...
I'm tempted as well but I wouldn't be able to play it very much anyway... and the layers are really important to me, I've done my first shunting scenario in CRR and I loved it, can't wait to play it more
Yeah the layers are the only concern for me as well. And I would use the 20 trains limit of the scenario planner only to make Munich Hbf look realistic
I hope for a good discount on Tees Valley Line and Class 31. How realistic do you think it is that we can get both for 25 €?
Probably not very , it is unlikely that a loco and a route in common will both be discounted at the same time
Isle of White Ryde to Shankin PC SEHS: London St Pancras-Faversham LGV Méditerranée: Marseille - Avignon next maybe?
DTG Natster is there anyway we could know what the other sales will be as I’m tempted to get Munich but I would be only able to get one, so want to maybe know what else there could be Many thanks
Unfortunately that's not really how sales work... The idea is that you're tempted to purchase something being offered at a lower price because you didn't but it beforehand at full price, not that the entire sales plan for the year ahead be released so that people can decide whether to buy something or not. If you're tempted and think it's what you want, buy it. If you're not, don't - you might get something else you'd prefer further along the lines, but you could miss out completely. That's the risk of discounts and sales!
More products on the way. Looking for Isle of White Ryde to Shankin PC SEHS: London St Pancras-Faversham LGV Méditerranée: Marseille - Avignon Canadian National Oakville Subdivision Glasgow Cathcart Circle
I got HMA since we are probably getting the layers on Series X when the bespoked version comes out and since sales are hard to come by figured I'd get it now. It is a great route and will be better in a few months for sure. I actually thought it felt like SKA before the preserved collection added layers to it. Now I only need 2 routes and the collection is complete LGV and IOW. But I thought they aren't worth full price. IOW because it is so short and not much traffic at all. And LGV because there isn't much gameplay. So if they go on sale I'll scoop them up, and then only a few loco's will be on my wishlist.
Less than 40 minutes left to grab this week’s bargains, a few more on release tomorrow. I agree with bakedpotatos.jm comment on LGV and IOW. I would only buy these in a sale, have the IOW version on PC and found it boring. As for Locomotives, I cannot remember them being in an Microsoft or DTG xBox sale.
The sale is actually still on till 10am UTC on 20th July. It will mean that for 10 hours both lots will be on sale as the new sale will start at midnight UTC on 20th July
Correction Jthornally, but the sale has finished at 10 am UTC on 19th July. Huge discounts for Train Sim World 2 are coming to Xbox, grab a bargain, hit the tracks, and explore routes from across the world! Throughout July Xbox players can enjoy huge discounts on some of the amazing Add-Ons available for Train Sim World 2, each week we will be bringing you a new selection of routes for you to add to your collection. From Midnight UTC on the 13th of July to 10:00 UTC on the 19th of July, you can enjoy the following discounts!
Locomotives have in fact been discounted in the XBOX store previously, e.g. BR Class 52 and DB 155, both of which I bought at a discount back in January 2020. It'd be nice to pick up a couple of others during the July sale!
Got LGV. Now I just need IOW. But only if its on sale I already put a price point I'm willing to pay and that is $20CDN. LGV was at the price point I picked. Not much gamplay due to lack of stations/traffic so I decided it was worth the price of a loco, which it was with the sale. But impatient me couldn't wait for the others to go on sale except HMA but I grabbed it last week. All I need now is the Series X version to come out and it will be like playing a brand new game. I'm so excited!!
Also Hauptstrecke Hamburg-Lübeck too is included with LGV Méditerranée Marseille-Avignon. Maybe Isle of White Ryde to Shankin and SEHS: London St Pancras-Faversham, will be included in the final week commencing 27th July, we shall have to wait and see!!!
I will be grabbing this weeks two as well. So that will mean 5 new DLCs for me in two weeks. That’s the beauty of a sale, none of the five enticed me at full price, but discounted is great. I did buy SEHS and CC at full price, I prefer UK commuter type routes. Hoping for Rapid Transit next week and some loco’s
Only two routes this week so maybe we will get next week Isle of White Ryde to Shankin, SEHS: London St Pancras-Faversham. They have issued Cathcart Circle and the Great Legends pack, so obviously I didn’t say this often enough to make DTG sit up and realise. Hopefully at the end of this month but doubt it.
