Hi AirbourneAlex, JT don't use .ap files. JT Tom mentioned this specifically at the end of his most recent JT stream.
I don't think that's correct. Maybe true if self-published, but JT's Kyle Line distributed through Steam definitely exists as an .ap file. I can say that with absolute certainty.
Thanks. Is this including steam releases though? As I would consider buying these via steam instead if they run smoother. Particularly Cornish Main Line and the new Southwestern Expressways.
Simple answer JT routes direct from JT come with an installer and are not in an ap file JT routes released thru Steam are in an ap file The JT Routes via Steam might run better but don't have as many scenarios and any errors found will take longer to release via DTG/Steam because of the various processes
I'm only interested in the route itself, so for me steam might be the better option if performance is actually improved. I've also noticed some assets downloaded via steam are not saved as .ap files (I don't want to buy a route through steam thinking it has better performance to find out it has no difference).
The assets from Steam normally come In an *.ap file - you computer only saves them in the format they arrive as.
