Link to a brilliant cab ride by Don Coffey along the entire North Wales Coastal line
Burying the lead here by mentioning the Victorian meme station twice but not mentioning in the body that *you get to drive through a castle*. Great and historic route anyway, tho with TSW's limitations you might be stuck with Cyffordd Llandudno to Caergybi (Holyhead).
I get the train to and from Bangor occasionally for university and its a very pretty route as well! Would be awesome to see in tsw!
Would like to see this route but in the early 90's so there's Regional Railways loco-hauled stock, sectorised freight, and Valenta HSTs.
I would absolutely love to see this route in Train Sim World. Highlights [41:10] Stunning coastal views of the sandy Colwyn Bay beach front after exiting Penmaenrhos Tunnel. [49:00] The approach to UNESCO World Heritage Site Conwy Castle, crossing Robert Stephenson's Conwy Railway Bridge spanning the Conwy estuary and breaking the medieval town walls built between 1283 and 1287 and featuring 21 towers. [57:43] Beautiful vistas of Anglesey and cutting through the Penmaenmawr mountains via the Pen Y Clip tunnels. [1:12:15] The Britannia Bridge across the Menai Strait between the island of Anglesey and mainland of Wales. Designed by Robert Stephenson, construction of the bridge began in 1846. The bridge was decorated by four large lions sculpted in limestone by British sculptor and architect John Thomas who worked on Buckingham Palace and the Palace of Westminster. The lions cannot be seen from the A55 above, they are visible only from trains on the North Wales Coast Line.
Apart from the network of valley lines, this should be one, if not the first Welsh routes to be featured
This looks really great. It's both a coastal route, and a route that features many impressive sights, such as castles and bridges. I think it could be really fun!
