So I was running about 2 minutes late getting to Rochester, at 11:33 when I was due to stop there at 11:31. While braking half a mile out getting ready to stop at the platform, I hit this red light. Seems an eastbound train is stopped at Rochester, with another one between it and me. It's now been 10 minutes stuck at this red. Westbound traffic is passing the station just fine, but these services ahead of me won't budge. I know on some services like certain Clinchfield ones, it's possible to get so far behind schedule that you get trapped permanently at signals like this, but two minutes of delay causing it?
1F24. I restarted it a couple of times and it seems really odd. I tried to replicate it by getting there at the same time (I am always slightly delayed getting into Strood if I am running to schedule, when I have to wait at the lights for train ahead of me to depart the platform). It's interesting - if I get there on time, and wait a few minutes, the train ahead of me moves on to Rochester, I get stopped at the same red as I leave Strood until it leaves the station at Rochester, and then it departs, allowing me to get to Rochester around a minute behind schedule. If I take a bit longer getting to Strood, then it still advances to Rochester ahead of me, but it stops there, and never continues, and another train joins the line between it and mine, and gets stuck there too.
