Nice (if slightly smokey) class 101 at the start. I seem to remember a discussion somewhere about whether 101s frequented West Cornwall. Good to have the proof that they did, in this era. I hope they’re included in the new route. The unit in this clip was based at Plymouth Laira. Withdrawn just a few weeks after this video was recorded, it was then reinstated 7 months later for a 9-month swansong, before finally being withdrawn for good in March 1992.
Laira had quite a large allocation of class 101's and 108's in the late 80's and early 90's after the Skippers (Pacers) were sent up north as being unsuitable for the tight Cornish curves. The class 122 also seen in the video would be a nice item of DLC.
