Class 318 and Class 334 - these are really sorely needed for proper AI and commuter traffic on the WCML-N route Class 185 - a sorely needed DMU which is about the last thing needed to make fully prototypical modern-day traffic on the WCML-N. Can also be used on WCML over Shap and WCML Trent Valley - possibly other routes as well.
First link got messed up, don't seem to be a way to edit the post itself, here's the correct link to Class 334: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/British_Rail_Class_334
Master Key Simulations are making a Class 185, it's been in development for a couple of years (which is about the amount of time it takes to have a job but also make 3D trains) so hopefully it will be out soon. I would be surprised if someone isn't making a Class 317/318 pack. For now there's a reskin on the UKTS website (set up by our very own Matt P), you need a subscription but it's cheap and worth it.
DTG already have a class 317, for the MML route. There is also Thomson's Class 455. It really should be fairly simple to make a 318 from that. I am currently using the free Class 318 by DaveB at UKTS, it's not a bad model, although it's starting to show age... And a 318 done to the same quality of the DTG 317/Thomson 455 wouldn't hurt... And would be right at home on WCML-N of course.
The EMU for the MML is the 319. Unless I've missed a trick. The only 317s I'm aware of is the UKTS ones and some reskins based on the 455.
185 I totally agree with you on that, but again, we've had no news on the 185 from MKS in years, so I'm not sure if it's still in development, I certainly hope so.
What if they've scrapped the website? You never know. It's a pointless website anyway, there's nothing on it.
I too hope that MTS are still making the Class 185 DMU and also I would love to see MKS make a brand new high res Class 60 with a fully functioning cab such as a working animated DSD pedal and opening cab windows for examples there. That aside. I would buy the Class 185 whenever it becomes available .
In regards to the Master Key situation, on their Facebook page in a reply they have said that the member of their team who is doing the 185 also maintains the website, and that he has work commitments that prevent him from making more progress at this point. It is still being worked on, though.
When would realistic track sounds will be implemented in TS1 and TSW. Right now only Loco sound is being focused. But loco sound is important when we are in cab. While railfanning and in the passenger coach we hear only track and wheel sounds.Pls check the sweet track sound in this video. must be implemented
Various things - like when it's as an AI train in a scenario the engine only starts as you get in to sound range.
Bossman Games are apparently doing a Class 60 now: https://www.bossmangames.co.uk/in-development.html
They had that picture on the page before the Class 50 was announced - so it's coming but you don't know when
Just to keep things straight, if you click on one of your own posts or replies, the word "edit" will appear in 1-point teeny-weeny type and clicking on that will open that post for -- mirabile dictu -- editing.
Good for them -- but all of their stuff is for TS, not TSW, and it looks like each DLC requires tons of other DLCs. So why mention them in the TSW forums? Just asking.
Yeah, I noticed that after saving my post. I made the mistake of looking at the "New Posts" pages instead of the TSW pages, So much for the benefits of a being an ABMAPHD!
