Finished a couple of boxcars today that I had started ages ago. Both uploaded to TSC.

Another boxcar uploaded to TSC this morning.

This time a BN boxcar with partially repainted sides to cover up graffiti. The rest of the car has faded paintwork and weathering.

I'm planning to make a replica of the 101 at the East Anglian Railway Museum, which I got plenty of photos of a couple of weeks back, should be a fun little project.

This is excellent. Can you get it working in scenario planner? Last time I checked it only works in time table?

Something more for Oakville than Sandpatch this time..... Surprised they didn't do a CN boxcar for the route by default.

I might do another one or two CN boxcars to go with it.

No unfortunately, for some reason the 101 from LOTGW is entirely different to the 101 from TVL and NTP, so it's bound only to LOTGW timetables. Would love to run it on West Somerset but cant.

This is sad, I wonder if adam from preservation has a update on tvl 101 livery designer time frame?

Adam said in a roadmap stream once that livery designer compatibility is coming to the TVL class 101 when rush hour releases and layer onto the WSR

Well not long to wait. Wonder if they will let the 52 have Livery designer access on rush hour release also, was reported to be done pending an update schedule

OK here's something a little quirky that I found whilst I was getting photos for my CN boxcars........ Can anyone over in the US or Canada explain how often this is used for me...... I found two photos that I've attached showing boxcars with "Canadien National" rather than "Canadian National"...... So the French name rather than the English name.

It's the only two instances I can find so I'm assuming it's not something that is done too often?

I may incorporate it into one of the boxcars I'm doing at present.

To update on my previous post...... Googling brings up that freight cars have been known to be bilingual and have the English spelling on one side and the French spelling on the other.

Is this something still done today? or something that was done in the past?

Do you know if it is something still done now or was it only something done in the past? And was it done to only a few vehicles or more widespread? Or was it only done to vehicles based in certain parts of the country?

Sorry for all the questions I’m just trying to understand how it was implemented by CN.

No worries on the questions, that is what the forums are for.

I believe the reasoning for it has to with CN's head office is in Montreal so their rail cars must have French on one side and English on the other side.

Really haven't noticed it on CP rail cars.

    Thanks for that.

I suppose it's maybe not too common in reality as it is only going to be the cars with the wording on them that are affected as most seem to just have the logo without lettering or logo and web address.

I will incorporate it into the cars I am doing that have the company wording on them and have one English side and one French side on them.

This is where I'm at so far with the CN boxcars..... (The two cars with the English/French wording have it the opposite way to each other so if they were both spawned at the same time you would see both English and French wording on the same side of the train).

The Alex rolls with IC cars from Italy
The country railway is investing step by step in the comfort of its long-distance connections to and from Hof, Munich and Prague.
Since the timetable change in December 2017, the
Intercity wagons from Italy, whose air conditioning systems can also cope with midsummer temperatures, are used. They're now rolling on the Alex train tracks. The comfortable wagons from the parent company Netinera, a subsidiary of the Italian State Railways, are part of a series of innovations designed to make the journey to and from Munich, Prague and Hof more comfortable for passengers in the Alex.

haha Well that idea lasted a long time....... Having used my three Heritage units on Sandpatch in sunny conditions today I decided the colouring was too bright on all of them so I re-did all three to tone down/dull down the colouring on them all then re-uploaded them again..... Currently awaiting approval. :D:D:D

I need to check the other locos I did at some point as they may also have slipped through the net when I tested them originally.

I ended up redoing my four CN locos as well. I've toned/dulled them all down so they aren't as bright when used in sunny weather. New version 2 models are now available in the usual place.

Yeah, a real problem with the current LD is that its "studio" lighting doesn't represent in-game lighting at all- everything in-game comes out too bright and garish unless you make it look rather dull in LD.

I once started to repaint the RAILJET from the ÖBB. Unfortunately the levels are not enough again. All the locomotive names are still missing. I tried to add the important features of the locomotive. I will myself on 08/17. be in Munich main station and take a closer look at the outside of the train and paint the pasasiere Wagoons. Also to take a look at other trains. In Munich up to 6 different state railways and federal railways arrive.

Surprisingly quick to do this one to be honest..... So I did a CP Rail car too. They are both close to being finished.

The resolution of shapes and text on the hopper car has got to be the worst of any I've come across so far.
