I would really like to see linking routes together for those who have purchased them, for example the bakerloo line and great western express at paddington, the east coast way and Brighton main line at Brighton, and even extending the southeastern route into Victoria to link up with the Brighton main line. This would allow you to switch routes and drive trains on different routes without having to go back into the menu and it would make it a lot more realistic. It could create more exploration to do and more challenges to complete and it would make it a lot easier to change routes as it takes so long to load services and scenarios up. If they made the timetables linked it would just work like real life, it would be awesome! It could encourage people to buy other routes that link up to ones they own, as the invisible barrier that blocks off parts of stations could say ‘you will require to purchase (example route) to access this part of the station. Other examples which would take a very long time to make could include an extension from Clapham junction on the Brighton main line up towards Milton Keynes and link up with the bakerloo line on the way, but that could be a whole new route and could terminate at the likes of Watford junction or beyond. And another extreme one is linking up London st. Pancras on southeastern to the Brighton main line and bakerloo by adding in the Victoria line, as crazy as it may sound i believe it could really work if the linking routes format is implemented. It could be a huge game changer and I’m sure a lot of people would absolutely love it!
Yeah, I forgot about that one, that would also be one that takes forever to make but would be worth it
This would also bring the future potential for a South Western route from Waterloo via Guildford and SWR trains to Reading.
Route mergers would be great, and DTG could sell them in a pack with a loco, so they can charge money for it. I actually made a thread suggesting such packs, giving a number of examples of their possibilities.
Really excellent idea how about combining Rhein-Ruhr Osten with Ruhr-Sieg Nord via Hagen Hbf. Ruhr-Sieg Nord merger with Hauptstrecke Rhein-Ruhr requires the Bochum Witten Hagen section. That includes the big Rangierbahnhof Hagen Vorhalle switches work like Hagen Gutterbahnof on Ruhr-Sieg Nord. Controlled by the dispatcher
if they combined the Brighton mainline with ECW would buy a combined route wouldn’t mind also having the line from Victoria to lewes via wivelsfield and plumpton or extended to ore/Ashfield international Brighton to littlehampton/Portsmouth could also be good
That can be an excellent route bundle merger pack called Portsmouth to Ashford and London Victoria Via Brighton.
Could then link Portsmouth with London Waterloo via new route - Portsmouth direct line, and would also link with BML at Clapham. Could also plan for other tube lines to be added to connect all these route in the long term
