On the Roadmap stream, it was asked if the ACS-64 could be layered into LIRR to provide some AI services in and out of Penn Station and along the short section of NEC track. Adam said this could be possible, but would depend on signal functionality etc.

If it is not possible to add them as an AI layer, could they be added (perhaps as randomly generated consists) at Penn Station and the Sunnyside Yard - just to make these two areas feel more alive?

Unless we get a New NEC New York, this is unlikely to happen.

Nah, we don't specifically need the NEC New York route for LIRR layers. The Boston-Providence route comes with the necessary rolling stock (ACS-64 and Amfleets), and the section around New York Penn and Sunnyside Yard is present in the Long Island Railroad. Perfect for AI services or scenery!
