I recall a two day one, and I think that was in August. I may be mistaken. I don't know of a second, but I also didn't give two hoots and a fiddle about AP at the time because there was too much to worry about as requirements first. Took care of much of that in March, got my first AP items in April.
According to my purchases AP had sales in July 17th-19th and August 29th-31st last year, both were 40% off. I am not aware that AP had a July sale this year but they do normally have a sale around the August bank holiday.
Caledonia works is having a flash sale, 30% off "SELECT DLC", promocode is: CWFLASH From what I see, it seems that "select dlcs" means all locomotioves. Wagon packs as well as the weathered addon packs are out of scope for the sale.
Ya beat me to it. After much inner debate, I settled on an LNWR A class. What finally decided me was that it comes with a set of LNWR freight wagons / brake van. On the other hand, it being a very short-lived loco, we get none of the wide livery variation CW normally provides, simply because there is none. Only one Quick Drive, but it's easy enough to create my own with existing stock.
Oh that one has a very nice and unique look to it. If I had more LMS assets, I'd get that one. But as it is, I'm more of an SR and LNER person. So... I got myself the 8K freight, due to the widespread use alone, plus one can never have too many freight engines as I always say. I also got a SECR 313... and it is so small and adorable, looks almost like Ivor the engine.
Does anyone know when the Caledonia Works sale ends? Friday? I expect to see an Armstrong Powerhouse and a RSSLO sale before the month ends.
Most of what SSS sells is Steam related so suited to the 1930's to 60's. I think they also have preserved Steam locos for those wanting to run in a modern setting The Stainmore route is very good in capturing a number of closed routes around the North West of England. And although set in the 1950's is also suitable for early diesels Peter
The Pullman carriages with the observation car are pretty decent. I also have the preserved air cased Light Pacifics.
Agreed. It also comes with a humongous amount of period coaches and freight. If you want period 50s BR stock, then I can recommend it for the stock alone. In addition to the Stainmore route, I'd say their Terrier is good. Check out the various coach packs too. The J21 is good from a functional viewpoint, though could use a bit better textures imho. It comes with very nice NER coaches. promo code is sssflashsale40 btw.
The only issue I have with the Stainmore route is that it's not possible to post scenarios on the Workshop for it, and thus it's harder to find scenarios for it to make it even more worth its value. For instance, I know the Chatham lines have 300 scenarios that run on it just in the Workshop, adding to its value. I don't know how much exists for the Stainmore.
Could we expect an AP sale on the final of August? I want to buy the EP 375/377 and maybe other EP's depending on steam sales... Cause i want London to Brighton and Bedford as well
AP sale at the end of next week. Steam has a sale not appropriate to this forum on 14 TSW2 products on now until September 2nd plus discount on Rush Hour.
If anyone is interested in getting Cumbrian Coast from OTS and doesn't have Stainmore from Steam Sounds Supreme, I would suggest getting it now while it's on offer as it is a requirement.
There will be some kind of sale in September. A last chance to get the regional bundles currently available at discount before they get removed in advance of 2022 version.
From what was posted I think there might be something's on sale for TSW2 but not of interest to this forum
GamersGate 60-80% off on a limited selection https://www.gamersgate.com/games/?query=Train+Simulator I picked up Liverpool & Manchester & South London
It is not a huge discount, but DT is having a 20% off on their Wisbech&Upwell pack. Quote: "Our Wisbech and Upwell Stock Pack is now released priced £9.99! Until midnight Saturday 21st August you can get a 20% discount using the code “Tramway” in your cart!" https://digitaltraction.co.uk/mainsite/2021/08/
helderbrincolas nwp1 said "Steam has a sale not appropriate to this forum" So you replied "I didn´t understood what you mean regarding the steam sale" I replied "From what was posted I think there might be something's on sale for TSW2 but not of interest to this forum" i never said you mentioned TSW2
Not a sale but new lower prices for a collection of TS routes. Nothing there for me as I have acquired these already. 15 routes to add to your collection now on Steam. https://store.steampowered.com/dlc/24010/Train_Simulator_2021/list/82770/
Humble bundle has a sale on TS16-TS20 (65%) as well as a few add-ons ranging between 50 and 90% off. Wish I'd known this was coming as I bought TS17 a few days ago to get the branded Bristol-Cardiff route to use with the XC route.
Can you not use XC without it? Just do scenery swap in Ts-Tools. Honestly, an alternate version should be published.
I am expecting an Armstrong Powerhouse sale towards the of the week for Bank Holiday weekend and maybe a sale from RSSLO. Keep your eyeout
"ChrisTrains Back To School sale - 50% off everything, all webshops, no coupon codes required. Can not be combined with other discounts." https://www.christrains.com/en/ts_buy.html
Keep your eyes peeled this weekend as Armstrong Powerhouse normally have a Bank Holiday sale and if that is right, it will be on the 28th to 30th. We shall see. RSSLO normally have a sale this weekend too, but they had a merchandise sale last week and a sale of some selected locomotives the week before. Therefore there may or may not be a route sale from them this time.
